Actually, l can see there being plenty of time added on today, given the new rules for time wasting, the usual time added on for substitutions, injuries, etc, and of course today's expected stoppages for water breaks, we might get finished by 17:30, lol

Hi all Interested to know your thoughts on the score today Hi dfc. I hope you enjoy your visit today. It's difficult to know what could happen this afternoon. Like you we've had a high turnover of players and a disappointing start so I guess it should be a pretty even game. I'm not getting too depressed yet as last season we were so poor we sacked our manager in October but with a couple of good signings and a few loanees in (one of whom was on the bench for Luton last weekend) we managed to squeeze into the play-offs (sorry to remind you!).

It's difficult to say, really. I think it'll be a close game to be honest. Our team mustn't take your team for granted today, not in any way whatsoever. You may well have injuries and your form might be inconsistent at the moment, like ours, but you are traditionally, always a difficult side to beat, and today will be no different. You'll have good support at our place and your players will be hurting, after losing against Slough in the week. Your manager will be looking for a reaction, as will you supporters. All in all, a tricky game l think, possibly the flow of it will be spoiled by the hot weather, with there being a lot of stoppages for different things and water breaks, but for us, if our Manager can again get us to be playing a bit more forward and on the front foot, like we did against Dover during the week, we should see a better performance again. May the best team win

I cannot remember the crowd being announced. We deserved it on balance of play in my view but the weather effected the game. For good reason it was very slow and weather also seemed to have a soporific effect on the crowd, although this may have been the lack of chicken. One thing did notice, thank you Dave T, is what a ping Micheal Johnson has on him. I think actually the best long passer of a ball at the club

Crowd was 1526 if I remember rightly.
Game was good with a lot of skill out there especially considering the heat. Dartford were a bit unlucky, but then so were we. Also ref seemed a little biased there were some really bad fouls and shirt pulling that didn't get noticed.
Only really bad bit of the Clarence Park Experience was the ear shattering loud shite 'music'. OK, some people might like it, but why so stupidly loud? I got a headache in the few minutes before the game. Come on, this really isn't necessary and I'm surprised the local residents haven't complained to environmental health about it.
If we must have it, please turn it down so we can at least talk to each other.

Didn't make it today but sounds like we ground out a good result. I've noticed that all our defeats have come against sides in the current top 6. Early days still but feeling a bit more hopeful.
On the subject of music at the ground I am not really interested as it doesn't cater for me and my generation. It appears to be aimed at 20 and 30 somethings I guess, but can't be sure as I haven't got a clue who any of the bands are apart from Enter Shikari. Play some music of St. Albans legends, Clientelle and I'd be interested.

Play some music of St. Albans legends, Clientelle and I'd be interested. Clientelle? Gosh, that takes me back. I saw them support somebody or other at the City Hall (Alban Arena, to you youngsters) in the mid-80s. Going back further, local bands Dirty Work and Moonstone were both pretty good too. Regarding the music played at the Park, I agree with complaints that at times it’s too loud but it’s the same at most football and rugby grounds that I’ve been to in recent years. As for it being aimed at the 20 and 30 somethings, I can’t really find fault with that. We’re attracting a lot of young people to matches these days, which is good, and if I was in charge of the playlist I don’t think they’d appreciate my choices - Bowie, Springsteen, Steely Dan and Scottish folk songs sung in Gaelic! I remember my Dad complaining fifty years ago when City stopped playing brass band music over the Tannoy and started playing “that dreadful pop music - Elton who?” However, back to today’s game. Although it wasn’t of the highest quality I have to compliment both teams on their effort and work rate in horribly hot weather. I have to feel sorry for Dartford as, although we had much the better of play, they did hit the crossbar three times - thanks to MJ for a superb save, tipping one shot onto the bar. As the old saying goes “if you can’t be good, be lucky!”

The music is way too loud. We are in a park in the middle of a residential area. It was a hot late summer’s day, why does everyone out enjoying the day have to be inconvenienced in this way. The annoying thing is trying to discuss the game after the final whistle and it’s impossible. It’s totally unnecessary.

Yeah l can't say that that noise coming out of the speakers that is supposed to be music, is to my taste either. It's just a load of loud rubbish, but there you are, I'm sure someone will chip in and say they like it. As for the game itself, the boys did well, there's no doubt about that, sure we got lucky a couple of times, but apart from the botched back pass, Dartford always were going to create some chances, we just defended well and created our play and chances too, and played well. We did well, l bet the players relished the water breaks, god it was hot out there
