Hopefully we will start with Jeffers, but imagine he will be sidelined for a striker who would struggle to score in a bordello.
Keeping a player on the bench, to avoid triggering a clause in his contract is ludicrous.
Is not fair on the fans paying their hard earned cash to support the Saints, to see our best player languishing on the bench.

Which is why I’m not going today. As someone who has gone to every game home and away for 40 years, I am now more selective about what away games I go to these days. Best player stuck on the bench, no incisive questioning/challenging as to the reasons for this, very vague updates on injuries etc.

Jeffers signed a contract at the start of last season, didn't he? And Noble hasn't been picking him since last season - bit early in a contract to stop playing him if you're worried about bonuses isn't it?
I thought it was because he scores loads of goals but doesn't run far enough when he's doing it?

I thought it was because he scores loads of goals but doesn't run far enough when he's doing it? Thought he signed a two year contract on £1k a week. In the second year if he starts a certain amount of games, his contract grants him a third year on £1k a week. Imagine the owners want to use the freed up £52k to hire some shots girls for CP.

Great result for us, l don't know how the game panned out, but I've always thought that Chippenham were always a tricky side to play o their own patch, so I'll take a 2-1 away win all day long

A very mixed performance, we started brightly but Chippenham slowly found their feet and went ahead through a well worked goal that our defence seemed to stand and watch. We were on the ropes and but for yet another MJ penalty save we’d have probably been out of the game by half time.
We drew level when Mitch fired in from close range & then proceeded to create at least 3 clear openings and if we’d have a goal scorer on the pitch would have gone in ahead.
Second half was more even with few chances for either side. An excellent finish from George, seemingly out of nothing with his first touch put us ahead and we saw the game out with relative comfort.
A few points on today:
1) It was noticeable to a number in our group how when we equalised just how little celebration and togetherness there seemed to be from those on the pitch. It was liked we’d scored a 90th minute consolation goal. Indicates to me that something isn’t right within the group and a far cry from last season.
2) The ref I thought was excellent and really allowed the game to flow & rarely pulled up physical play and other than the customary booking for Blackman kept cards in her pocket.
3) Whilst I don’t like to speak ill of our own players if Noble really thinks Akanbi is the answer I’d hate to know what the question is. That’s 4 games I’ve seen him in now and if anything he’s getting worse each week. Noble needs to stop this nonsense and put the contact talk of Jeffers aside, let the owners deal with that & start him.
Hopefully we can follow this up with a couple of home wins this coming week.

Having just listened to the post match interview it’s good to hear the manager is looking at the fact we don’t score that many goals. Couldn’t make it up.

Akanbi did nothing at tonbridge, so why did we sign him? Jeffers in a different class.its a very strange situation, considering we are struggling to score goals! What's going on?

I have to disagree there, I thought there was a sense of urgency to try and get kick off asap and push for the second and if you look at the celebrations for the winner it looked like the squad were together Also I don’t think we’re lacking goals we’ve scored 17 whereas at this point last season we scored 10, also, last couple of games before today if we had a fit squad and moreover a fit defence think they could of easily been wins - Also don’t think Akanbi was that bad like he missed a few chances but he caused lots of problems in the first half and i personally think he just needs a goal to boost his confidence, Just don’t want another Joe Neal incident where it was obvious stick from fans was getting to him

Akanbi shouldn't be anywhere near the team. Idiotic comment. Although looking at your past comments it's in keeping with your understanding of the game

Akanbi shouldn't be anywhere near the team. The player who got 12 Goals in a strong worthing squad last season, also a goal every 3 games in the 19/20 season at maidstone and a player with National league experience
