Just a warning that the online tickets at £13 are no longer available and cannot be bought on the day. Only £18 tickets are available on matchday whether bought online or at the gate. If this had been clearer, I would have bought my ticket last night. Bloody rip off!!!!!

We would be comfortably in a playoff position if Jeffers started throughout the season.

Well, we are really rocking now, aren't we. I wasn't there, but it sounds like a great win, repaying Eastbourne for doing us over at home a few weeks ago

This was a game that highlights the exact reason why you should always play Shaun Jeffers. What was in honesty a very average performance in which on the balance of play we probably deserved nothing, Shaun won us all 3 points with 2 clinical finishes.
The first half as Nobby alluded to in his interview was dreadful, we didn’t get going at all & couldn’t cope with Eastbourne’s pressing, pace & intensity. We constantly gave the ball & apart from a great opening which Bowery should have either scored or laid it on a plate for Shaun we created nothing & were lucky to go in just the one down.
The second half started with an equaliser in the opening 40 seconds after good work from Hutchinson & poor work from their keeper Shaun prodded home from close range. Eastbourne huffed and puffed but started to run out of steam & from another defensive mess Shaun clinically put us ahead. We saw the game out under pressure but without Eastbourne creating any clear openings. Partington again I thought had an excellent game against a very lively Eastbourne attack.
Another tough game on Tuesday at Hampton but the squad finally has a strong look to it & with Shaun in the side there’s always hope of a win even when we don’t play well.

Hopefully Hampton will be knackered on Tuesday after going all the way to Hartlepool today to lose on penalties

Well, I've just listened to Nobbys post-match interview and it sounds like, the goals apart, there wasn't much in it. 2-1 at Eastbourne is a great result thou and I'd take that anytime, down there. They may well have pressed us a lot and perhaps might've run us around a bit, particularly 1st half (I don't know cos l wasn't there), cos they are a full time team. Being full time has got to give you that extra half a yard of pace l would've thought ? Well, its on to Hampton away next week, that's going to be much tougher, l'd be well happy with a draw there. We do now, seem to be totting the points up a bit now, and moving up the table, it's a confidence thing l reckon, there was a time a few weeks ago, when l was genuinely worried about relegation, but wins breed wins. In the long run it might not change certain things, like Nobbys way of playing tippy-tappy football from the back, that has caught us out at times this season, and Jeffers starting games from the bench, but we must certainly hope the latter changes for good and Jeffers always starts, barring injury or suspension! COYS!

If we keep picking Jeffers and stop with the tippy tappy fixation, we will make the playoffs.
