Steve King or Paul Doswell? Is that serious comment? I didn't mean either of them specifically, l meant a Manager with the experience that they have, "that sort" of Manager

A City the size of St.Albans should have a team in the conference. The size of the crowds show it is really possible.

As regards managers, I think it's unlikely a more high profile candidate would be appointed. The budget is probably the stumbling block. If we lose the last two games that will be 1 point out of 27. Simply not good enough.

Just out of interest what sort of manager would others like to see? Other than Rod Stringer pretty much all of the bigger names have performed disastrously in recent times. Kings time at Havant was awful, as was Doswell in the second half of last season. Dowson could potentially get two sides relegated this season, whilst unlikely Hemel could still technically go down.
The fact that Dartford took so long to appoint a manager, I’m not sure Worthing have replaced their manager full time who left to go to York & Wealdstone were looking at Noble suggests there isn’t a huge amount of options around?
Scopes, Harrop & Davies have been the best performing managers you’d say with the resources available to them. But would any of them see us as a major step up & would we want to play the style of football that Aveley & Braintree in particular play?
Whilst results have obviously dropped off a cliff we’ve been inconsistent all season which to me points more towards the squad not being good enough given they’ve been the same for two managers now?

I was thinking the same, there is nobody obvious, not that I'm an expert on the subject. There are no 'Cowleys' for example. Some bloke has just left Walton & Hersham after 3 promotions in a row. Don't know if they've been bankrolled though

There will also be quite a lot of teams after managers over the pre season period. Wealdstone & Boreham Wood dependent on which division they end up, then you’d expect Dartford, Hemel, Havant, Torquay will all probably be looking to make changes. Whilst many will likely be in the division below most will likely have bigger budgets available than us.

It’ll be Meakes or Noble in charge next season. The owners have shown they have no contacts / experience at finding a manager at this level.
IA approached us. Noble and Meakes were on the coaching staff already
