Everitt MoM for me, not just for his goal, but he made so many quality blocks and tackles I lost count. I also thought Sullivan looked great. Some of his runs were magnificent. Apparently playing for nothing as well. Beecroft is quality as well. He sort of reminds me a little bit of Jonathan Hunt in a way because of his play-making qualities from wide right and his technical ability. I'm liking him more and more each time I see him. Pretty much everyone had a good game though. Some great saves from Bastock. I quite like the young lad in midfield, Magwood, who is a tough tenacious midfielder. Looks like he should struggle to battle in the midfield but somehow, despite his stature, seems to come away with the ball. Not sure about Lindie. He maybe needs more games to find his rhythm. He should have scored today but fluffed his lines. All in all delighted with the result! What are your thoughts?

Agree with your points on Lindie. He has been out for a while, but the chances he had you would expect a striker to tuck away. Good to see Ian Dunn back, I thought he had gone! Jake Beecroft is certainly more workman-like than Hunt. Could Hunt even tackle? But he had another great game today, hopefully more to come in the coming month! How we survived the opening stages I will never know, but Bastock and the defence were awesome. Frater was back to his best, and Smith was his usual, energetic self. Magwood was good too. Considering his age, he could turn out to be very important for us in the closing stages of the season. Hopefully we can carry on this momentum and sneak into the playoffs. COYS!

Ian Dunn playing for nothing apparently Coys. You are right about Beecroft, he actually tracks back. Frater was an absolute colossus at the back. Like you, I've no idea how we managed to get the win, but it was marvellous! If we keep grinding out results then you never know about the play-offs but I would just be happy with a top half of the table finish to be honest.

I think you can probably change it yourself actually by going to the 'modify profile' page. I must say, when I first read this report, it looked very familiar. I checked in this week's NLP and found that it isn't the Thurrock Gazette's take on the game at all, but an almost exact copy of the NLP report, which was written by a Saints home fan no less!

I must say I didn't spot the similarity between the NLP and the Thurrock Gazette report, Daedalus. A case of blatant plagiarism. I thought it was unusual for the Thurrock Gazette. I seem to recall their one sided report of the 0-0 draw at Ship Lane, which was copied directly from Thurrock Press Officer Tony Flood's biased report of that game. Such reporting helps no-one. Here is his brief report of last Saturday's game from the Thurrock website. Judge for yourself but from the sound of it, there were only 11 players on the field! www.thurrockfc.webs.com/match_report.htm#Stalbans%20away
