Hi there
Anyone know if the Herts Senior Cup game tomorrow is one of the ones covered by the mysterious "Cup Game" tickets in the season ticket booklet?
Cheers

I hear City lost 2-1, apparently it was a very poor performance.

It gets worse -
FT Saints (0) 1 Broxbourne Borough (1) 2
Broxbourne led 1-0 at half time, increasing it to 2-0 in the second half, before Bakare pulled a goal back late on. Apparently we were dire, by all accounts.
This is starting to get very, very worrying.

What was the team? Was it not a second string XI?

What was the team? Was it not a second string XI? A lot of the first team, I was told. Certainly Yorke, Jinadu, Walker, Bakare and Shields played. I wouldn't have thought we would have put anything other than a full strength first team, after last Saturday's debacle at Bashley. Perhaps someone who went tonight can put on a brief account of the game.

Moran, Haworth, Bent, Fry, Ntle and Matthews all missed out. Watts served last game of his ban.

"you dont know what your doing" Nothing worse than a misspelled insult. That aside, it has to be said that things aren't looking great. My main concern is the lack of reaction from the manager - where are the ideas, the back-up plans, the changes of personnel? Worried.

Team was -Will Viner, Jack Pattison, Reece York, Natahn Haisley (c), John Sonuga, Tobi Jinadu, Jerome Walker, Nick Chrysanthou, Sakho Bakare, Sean Shields, Danny Hart. Subs - David Ijaha, Miles Scot, Matt Cutchey, Michael Lewis, Joakim Ehui
They were appalling - complete rubbish. I left early so missed our only goal.
Its not looking good and its the first time I've wandered out before the end.

Poor, Very Poor! We created a lot of half chances but Broxbourne where much just more clinical. Bakare should have score more after leading the front line and having lots of chances, also Sean Shields was lively (As ever) but never EVER looked up and made the pass or final ball needed... Disappointing.

First of all, I owe an apology to Brummie. He sent me one of his historical match reports for this game but unfortunately I have been unexpectedly away from the computer for a couple of days and therefore didn't post it up. I doubt anyone wants to read it after the result last night, Brummie, so we'll have to save that one for another time. As for the current plight of the not so mighty Saints, I honestly thought that we had turned the corner a few weeks back against Frome Town. How wrong I was. On the positive side, there is still plenty of time to turn things around. On the negative, it's not going to get any easier with an away trip to Oxford City next. After that though, there is at least some small respite with the Red Insure Cup coming up at home to Hemel and then another home match against Evesham United in the league. It sounds as if the manager needs to start making one or two of those personnel changes he was talking about, sooner rather than later.
