A very good battling performance from the Saints in a game where quality football was at a premium due to the very strong wind. From where I was standing couldn't understand the award of their penalty, and thought we may have had one when Jerome went down.Gray playing in the middle of the park did particularly well and the youngster at left back (was it Scott ?) didn't let us down. Lastly nice to the chairman getting pasionate on the sidelines.

Congratulations to young Saints Myles Scott & Matty Taylor on making their 1st team league debuts today. Well deserved boys on your performances this season so far.

That was one of the worst games I've ever been to in a ground about 10 miles from anywhere, didn't realised we had a player sent off, that may have been a bit exciting ....
BTW if you have rafle ticket number 197 then sorry I stole your wine

This was a vastly improved performance from Tuesday at Chippenham in a game played in very difficult conditions. If I am honest, we were the wrong side of not one but three dreadful refereeing decisions, which cost us the game. In common parlance, we were 'mugged'. Make no mistake about it, we could and should have returned with 3 points from this game. James Gray was superb in the holding role in front of a defence, which battled the whole game. As mentioned earlier, also an outstanding game on his league debut by young Myles Scott from the Midweek Youth. Very encouraging. The beginning of a new era? We can but hope. www.stalbansreview.co.uk/sport/9387651.No_penalty_justice_for_Saints_as_Brakes_go_top/?ref=rss

Very strange ground, brings a new meaning to "out of town", it was miles and miles from anywhere! Well run, friendly club though.
The officials were terrible. I didn't get a great view of the first penalty decision but the second was the most blatant penalty that you will ever see. Looking at Tav's video, the ref was little more then 10 yards away with a perfect view, how he didn't see the foul and hear the contact is beyond me. I still haven't got a clue what their penalty was for.
Very solid performance in a scrappy game and we probably deserved the 3 points.

On the Leamington forum they suggested that it was for shirt pulling.
