Who do you think will be the next England manager?
Also, separate to the poll, you can post in the thread who you think should be the next England manager if you want!
I checked the latest odds and these are the favourites:
Harry Redknapp Stuart Pearce Guus Hiddink Jose Mourinho Roy Hodgson Martin O'Neill Rafa Benitez Arsene Wenger
Looking at the odds, it seems to me that there are three groups:
- Redknapp is obviously the major favourite with short odds and makes the first group.
- A second group consists of Pearce, Hiddink and Mourinho at longer odds.
- Finally, the third group is Hodgson, O'Neill, Benitez and Wenger at much longer odds.
Other much less likely names that I haven't put in this poll include the likes of Carlo Ancelotti and Gareth Southgate!

Has to be 'Arry, doesn't it? I think it does, eventually. I can see the FA appointing Pearce as interim manager for the European Championships if Redknapp decides he wants to see out the season with Spurs, with a view to taking over afterwards.

England will win nothing until Burton is sorted and there is a cap on foreign players in the Premiership, doesn't matter who is the manager.

Unfortunately it has to be Redknapp,he has the press eating out of his hand, and the F.A. Know they would get slaughtered if they didn't offer it to him.

Redknapp will get a lot longer than any other incumbent, solely on the basis of his relationship with the press. They love his 'cheeky chappie' style, forever giving them quotes and tittle tattle. It is only the quality sport writers like McIlvanney ,Barclay,Daniel Taylor that see through this nonsense.(have to leave our chairman out of this as I refuse to read the horrible rag that he writes for). It will be very interesting to see if Redknapp has the 'bottle' to leave Terry out of the squad. Personally I would like to see Hiddink get the gig, but I think the die has been cast.

I'm 100% backing Roy for the England job and I'm hoping that he'll be a success. I'm expecting him to make sure that England are well drilled and hard to beat. I actually think his style will suit international football.
It also makes a difference to me to think that we have a gentleman and an intelligent man in charge of the national team. His vast experience on the continent and also his knowledge of the international game will be a big asset.
He's going to have his work cut out in terms of dealing with the press and perhaps even with winning over certain parts of the dressing room but I think that if the players buy into Roy's methods, we could end up with a national team to be proud of again.
