Very interesting indeed, Lonecrank. It took a while to read through the full article but it was worth it. Have you heard of The Blizzard football magazine? See here - www.theblizzard.co.uk/The reason I mention it is because I think you would enjoy it judging by the football writers you have mentioned on the forums. A number of excellent football writers are involved in this project, which is aimed at giving the authors freedom to write longer length pieces about whatever footballing subject they would like to explore. Jonathan Wilson (the author of Inverting the Pyramid - a fabulous book and highly recommended if you haven't already read it) is the editor. I think most issues are available on a pay what you want basis as a PDF download or hard copy. The suggested price for the magazine may seem a bit pricey but it is worth noting that it is something like 160 pages in total. More like a small book than a magazine. The quality of the articles is very high, in my opinion. I sometimes find it a bit hit and miss in terms of finding articles that I really enjoy but that is mainly down to my personal prejudice about what I want to read rather than the quality of the material. In general, I find it great to dip in and out of the magazine and enjoy the majority of the articles, learning something new most of the time too. All of the articles are of a similar style to the one you've linked in this thread in terms of length and the depth of the explored subject. I thought I would share as I think you would probably enjoy it and there are most likely some writers who you like to read producing content for this magazine. You may already know about it but I thought it worth mentioning for you or anyone else who is a keen reader of football books and magazines!
