A really well written article. The first time I saw Tom play was in that Saints Reserves game against Gravesend & Northfleet Reserves early in the 2004/5 season, the same game in which Lord Lippiatt saw him for the first time. He scored two or three times, I can't quite remember, in a 6-0 victory for Gravesend & Northfleet and his passing was a joy to behold. Colin wasn't going to miss the opportunity and he signed for the Saints within the week.
Interestingly, I was watching the 'Saints In The Conference' DVD last week and it was clear to see that Tom's contribution to the team was immense. He had the ability to split defences wide open with pinpoint accuracy and the number of his passes that went astray, you could count on the back of one hand. Great memories.

I always said he was a very good passer of the ball and would do well in any team as long as he had time on the ball.

His recent move to Woking means he's been promoted 4 times from the Conf South including 3 championships (Woking, Lewes, AFC Wimbledon for champions and us for promotion), he's also finished 2nd on another occasion (with Dover) and found time to win the Ryman with Sutton but his only season in the Conf Nat saw him relegated with us
