I note from the official club site -
"Player Sponsorship - £150 plus VAT
Sponsoring a player is a unique way to show your support to the Club and indeed your favourite player."
This is something that I would have been interested in. Last season the price was £100 and no VAT. We also had the choice of smaller sponsorships - shirts, shorts boots etc. Not even British Rail is putting its prices up 80% !

It certainly looks like a very steep hike, lonecrank. I am not comfortable with two people funding my err... umm... entertainment on a Saturday afternoon to the tune of of £100,000 or whatever it is each season and, as a general comment, I support the principle that the boardroom must look to increase income from 'the terraces'. Cleary, some fund-raising initiatives like the dinner a few weeks ago and the golf day are aimed at one section of the community but other activities are usually the province of regulars who attend games every week. And this one strikes the wrong note with me. too. Still, the board must know what they are doing and they are, presumably, confiident of success with this one. A member of the Trust as a representative of the supporters sits on the board after all. And what do I know about it, anyway?

Any thing that is priced without including vat must be aimed at businesses. If it is aimed at individuals , the wording wrong . It should state the price as £180
So the PR department need to get busy & sell these sponsorships to businesses

Hello all,
The price for the sponsorship has gone up this year but it includes a lot more than last season.
The price for player sponsorship is £150 "including VAT"
This comes with 20 free tickets to give to charity or school of your choice with the presentation made by yourself and your chosen player or management team with write up on the club website
You also get a signed or unsigned shirt and your picture with the chosen player framed and signed. If you take the shirt unsigned then you have a shirt to wear for the season worth £35.
If the demand is there for shorts & sock sponsorship, then it is something the club is happy to offer as we are flexible with all our sponsorship opportunities.
We do have to tailor our packages to the corporate market as this is where the club receives the greatest revenue, which is absolutely vital to the club.

Mr Davies, firstly may I welcome you to the forum and wish you all the best in your new job. Your new initiatives with the Club House are a positive step in the right direction and will gone down well with the drinkers amongst us. They does appear to be a discrepancy over the player sponsorship, you state " £150 including VAT yet the website states £150 PLUS VAT . www.sacfc.co.uk/index.php/commercial/player-sponsorship.htmlI understand the club is looking to increase revenue streams, but Whichever way this is still an huge increase on last year,(I personally am not interested in the 'add ons,(I already have the club shirt),the concession has also increased from sixty to sixty-five years which effectively doubles my admission to the ground, and last but by no means least the price of chips has gone up by 6% ! There is a hardcore of supporters who love the club and come week in week out,we feel it is 'our club' ,we feel a connection.- part of something. I feel alienated by the Premier League with their membership schemes, their £75 tickets,£5 programmes,£7 hot dogs, disgusting player salaries.etc. There is no longer 'a connection' for me,I felt that I was just another click through the turnstile, just another person they could tip upside down and see how much money fell out of my pockets that they could grab. Although I am not suggesting that SACFC are anywhere near that situation at the moment,it is a thin line between squeezing as much as you can out of 'the customer' and the aforementioned alienation.

Lonecrank,
There certainly is a discrepency in the player sponsorship and one I will rectify when I speak to the webmaster tomorrow.
Thanks for your welcome and comments. Although entrance prices and chips are out of my remit I take on board what you are saying.
As I said we can tailor make packages and that goes for individual supporters as well as the corporate business market so if you or fellow supporters would like to sponsor a player and dispense with the add ons then we can arrange a price to match last year.
I totally appreciate where you are coming from in supporting a lower league club. Although a Cardiff fan I grew up supporting my home town club of Altrincham and like Saints fans I have been through all kind of emotions following the Robins and like yourself have an affection which will last a lifetime.
Hopefully by listening to the fans and working together we can make sure we have something for everyone
If you and other supporters have time please introduce yourself to me and Kate so we can bounce ideas off each other.
Gareth

Still says 60 on the web site www.sacfc.co.uk/index.php/match-day/ticket-information.htmlThe fact that I'm 60 in October has nothing to do with my interest in this subject (well not much)

Thanks Lonecrank. Seems scant reward for going down the park for the last fifty years. Just a reflection of the world we live in I suppose.

Welcome aboard Gareth all the best to you and Kate
Nice to hear your response about listening to supporters and looking at individual sponsorships i'm sure going by past season we could do with that to top up the player sponsorships.
Just one quick question from me i thought i heard that you were to be taking on the bar and food did i miss hear or has the food situation been decided to keep as it is (no complaints from me about it but i don't eat much anyway ;-}

Thank for the welcome Hatboy,
At the moment I am looking after the bar and the food for the Players & Officials for the home and away teams as well as any Sponsors on Hospitality packages.
We are hoping to upgrade the kitchen in the bar area to be able to provide food on matchdays as an alternative to the Burger Van in the very near future and once up and running hopefully open one night a week to participate in a darts and pool league.
I might not be able to compete with Burger van though as he does a good chip.
