To back up what has been reported in the Barry Hayles thread, Owsy has just tweeted: 'Experienced striker BARRY HAYLES has agreed to join St Albans City FC along with experienced midfielder Gareth Risbridger.'

I see that both Luke Thurlbourne and Drew Roberts have signed for Arlesey....
I can't help thinking that our squad is not especially strong, and there are lots of older players in it. I don't really understand this. Players like Hyde and Hayles must be relatively expensive, and that's fine, if they are good enough.
Anyway, results will tell and I am hoping we can shape up well in the next two home games.

See Marcel McKie and David Galbraith are also at Arlesey. Quite a few ex-Saints there these days.

This is how Drew thinks:
St Albans City - Championship contenders, big crowds and history - £££ Arsley Town - Mid - Lower table, no crowds, no history - £££££££££
It was a shame Thurlbourne turned into a bit of a nightmare because he was a quality player
