Frome won their first league match of the new season against AFC Totton at home. The score was 3-1 with Evans, Powell and Woods scoring the goals. On Tuesday night, they lost their second league game 2-1 away to Bashley with Powell scoring their only goal from the penalty spot. For those who can't make the match, we'll hopefully have some updates in this thread. We would also recommend checking out the official St. Albans City and Herts Ad Twitter sites, as they usually have updates (see here - twitter.com/stalbanscityfc and twitter.com/hertsadsport). We'll add any other interesting links here as they appear.

Latest Tweets from Frome Town official Twitter suggest that their squad is missing a few players today. Also, not many Robins fans expected to make the trip.

Sounds also as if our Norway boys are back in the city for this match!
And Jimmy Gray is tipping himself to score a bullet header on Twitter!
'I can feel a goal coming on, a bullet header that comes slightly of the shoulder wrong footing the frome keeper, #youhearditherefirst'

Job well done today against a team who offered very little. Second half was more subdued but at 3-0 up at half time and another game on Monday, not unexpected. Disappointing crowd again.

Agree with Yellowfox. The Saints went about their business with alacrity in the first-half and some of the play was just excellent. The second-half was certainly a bit more subdued though. I hope Lewis Toomey going off wasn't anything too worrying. I think he took a knock on the ankle maybe. The crowd was a bit disappointing. I thought maybe the Tuesday night attendance was a bit low because perhaps some were just intending to go to today's Saturday game instead of both. Maybe the bad weather played a part today though. Some great football in that first-half today, and an emphatic result, so hopefully people will sit up and take notice now! Well done you Saints!

Good to see the Norwegian branch flag at the game by the way! And there was a great article by the Norwegian branch in today's programme! I'm glad to say that the Norwegian branch can add this afternoon's fine win to their stats!

The way Saints started this game was very very good. They made Frome look a poor side and well done to the whole team for the passing, space found and finnishes in the first half. Richard Graham looks to me a excellent addition to the squad this season. He catches the eye with his movement, space awareness and delivery on set pieces.

Crowds always start bad on August as people are on holiday, didn't Toomey only score 4 goals the whole of last season? So that's a good start, also conserving energy on the second half today was a good thing with a game on monday

Fantastic start today had the game won in the first 25 minutes and just had to go through the motions.
Didn't think much of Frome apart from the first 10 minutes of the second half they did nothing, they were meant to be short some players i've since heard.
Monday's game should be interesting

A great performance in the first half especially, even better than the Cambridge City game and although we went off the boil a little in the second half, it is apparent that the side is really starting to knit together. Frome, I fear, are in for a long hard season. Sterling performances from Richard Graham, Sean Shields, Lewis Toomey and James Gray.
