From the indications given by the Chesham game it would appear that we might be enjoying our football a lot more than of late. I think a good win against Stourbridge will cement the fans belief and give the team the confidence to take it to a higher level. Onwards and upwards - COYS!

As all the reports, the manager and all the fans who went to the game have said, those 10 Saints yesterday played their hearts out and deserve the greatest praise possible for their efforts yesterday. Unfortunately, the game was lost in the 5th minute and it was uphill from thereon in. One thing I cannot understand is that although Ujah's red card was nailed on, the incident where Ujah was elbowed in the face by Thomas just prior to the sending off, did not even result in a yellow card for Thomas, let alone a red, although a free kick was initially signalled. The first Chesham goal was deflected and gave Jupp no chance. They were 2 up in 20 minutes and I think that most Saints fans then feared the worst but it just didn't happen. After that first 20 minutes, we started coming into the game with Hayles missing a great chance to reduce the arrears before half time.
The second half was virtually one way traffic and following the Toomey penalty, the Saints were parked in Chesham half for the rest of the game but could not break through for the equaliser. Again, Richard Graham had a superb game.
There were a lot of positives to take from yesterday. If Chesham are one of the fancied sides in this division and we can make them look distinctly average or even, may I say, quite poor at times when we are up against them with only 10 men and also without Sean Shields (who was a big loss), then I would say we have every chance to do very, very well this season. There is no one to fear in this league and that starts with Stourbridge, this Saturday.
Onwards and upwards.

Agree with everything Boomer has to say there. We were awesome and thought the players done us real proud. Richard Graham really stood out for me. I think the players will be really up for it on Saturday after that display. Let's hope some more of the St Albans public turn up to witness it!!
