.......aghhhhh, their money? Do you mean the same cash that seems to have been earned on the back of the club, without contributing to the rent on the shop, rates or other business costs. No doubt all the people who spent money at the shop are happy to see their cash locked away in a dormant bank account. Some people may not think the money belonged in the first place. So who's money was it then?

exactly.
and the supporters have 'spoken';
the fact that they disagree with you is clearly something you have and have chosen never to accept.

At least this forum won't be shut as soon as the chairman says so!

and that is where you are wrong Aries. It wasn't the chairman, it was an investor who was going to pull his/her money. So, hoping not to be responsible for the death of the club, i pulled the forum.

But someone was pulling the strings?
We need an independant forum not one that will delete threads or close as soon as the person paying for it is unhappy at criticism.

.......aghhhhh, their money? Do you mean the same cash that seems to have been earned on the back of the club, without contributing to the rent on the shop, rates or other business costs. No doubt all the people who spent money at the shop are happy to see their cash locked away in a dormant bank account. Some people may not think the money belonged in the first place. This has absolutely nothing with Second Front but I do feel I have to respond to essexgirl's post above, that is contained within this thread. Dormant bank account? Hardly dormant, essexgirl. As I am given to understand it, as well as the Trust making significant monthly contributions to the Club over the past season from their match day fundraising activities, just to be clear - reference the money you talk about being around (the old Supporters Club funds voted for by Supporters Club members to be transferred over to the Supporters Trust some 3 years ago), I would wager that money has been more than eaten up anyway in the various substantial lump sum contributions made to the Club over those 3 years (pitch renovation, training lights and sundry other items) so your contention that this money is still owed to the Club/belongs to the Club is spurious in the extreme. That money was supporters' money. Notwithstanding this, I would also point out that even quite recently, with the Club having taken over the running of the Club Shop, the not insignificant amount of stock (and value thereof) has also, in effect, been donated to the Club by the Trust. I reiterate, hardly a dormant bank account, essexgirl.
