Another interesting article on the TwoHundredPercent website about the possible imbalance of southern and northern teams for next season in the Blue Square South / North. www.twohundredpercent.net/?p=5182Uses the Saints as an example and describes a possible move into the BSN :- "For a club that is already in a stricken financial condition, however, being forced into the Blue Square North could prove to be another nail in the coffin." That makes an assumption that the club can actually afford a nail, let alone a coffin

We had the danger of this last summer and it's coming around again, if we are being perfect, than Braintree would go North as they are As far as I'm aware) The most Northern club in the BSS. But when is ever that simple in this league?

Worcester City, Braintree and Bishop's Stortford are all further north than us.

I read somewhere Bath City mentioned as potential Connie North movers.

I'd bet that the aggregate miles travelled to away games for Saints in Conference North would be greater than the aggregate in the Conference season. The Midlands games would be ok, but the hikes to Manchester, Yorkshire, Blyth and especially Workington would be costly and lengthy. One crumb of comfort would be a fixture in Boston, as 'Bazzaston' United are top of the Unibond with one game left, away to Marine. With the city right next to the M1, this may count against St Albans when it comes to a match-up with Stortford & Braintree over who heads north

Maybe we could dump gibbo off at Newcastle on the way to Blyth (and leave him there!)

And today's results make Saints even more vulnerable - Gateshead stay in Conference (Forest Green going down is something, though, for those of us who recall the Trophy semi), Worcester go down from Conference South, and as things stand Conference North is at least two clubs short for next season.
Hopefully the play-offs will sort things out more favourably for Saints...
Bazzaston drew at Marine so now go into the Unibond play-offs.

Forest Green should go into the Connie north and Worcester could stay up if Bath don't win the play offs and move over into the North.

Looking at the form of the 2 Southern Prem play-off finalists it will be a close encounter.
Nuneaton Town have won 4 of their last 6, drawing 1 and losing 1 whilst Chippenham Town have won 4 and lost 2.
If Chippenham win they will go into the Blue Square South thus making our position more unsure in that league.
Workington Town away next season anyone?

Looking at the non payment of the tax bill and the fact we will have no players able to sign on for the city, I would not be to worried about the blue square bet south league. the Ryman south looks good

I think we are really looking for a Nuneaton win and for Worcester to switch back to the to the BSN. Besides that, Bishop's Stortford and Braintree are both further north than us. Here is Mike Avery's take on it. www.mikeavery.co.uk/Steps%201-4%20in%202010-11.htm

As I understand it, the FA is doing a complete review of the non-League structure this summer. Is that still taking place? Will anything good come of it?

Worcester City, Braintree and Bishop's Stortford are all further north than us. Gloucester City from the Blue Square North are 30 miles south of Worcester!
