News Update: 1st May 2010Saints City Trust has had a number of questions from members and supporters about the position of the football club. We are taking steps to seek clarification on this issue with the football club and taking advice from Supporters Direct. In the meantime and following the special general meeting in March, we have agreed with the football club to contribute £3,000 to the re-laying of the football pitch for next season, with an additional £1,000 available for the building works on match officials facilities as required by the league.

I hope someone has made inquiries with the council as to whether it would still be ok for St Albans City under a new name at a lower level to still use the ground in the future if the club does go under with all that is going on as we are still paying out for work to be done on the ground.

Really worrying times. I hope that the Trust are able to clarify the situation but I'm not going to be holding my breath.
