whilst you are sitting behind your keyboard contemplaiting how to moan about things St Albans City... why don't yo get off your backside and do something about it?
Me? well here I am running the bar at the clubhouse (for nowt) for the George Walker Trophy - the ground, pitch etc. kindly donated (probably the wrong word) by the club for young kids to play their finals...
I was here at 5pm to hoover up and make the clubhouse look respectable when parent come up IN THE HOPE that maybe one or two will return to Clarence Park to watch the Mighty Saints.
I haven't mentoned the pound increase..
You still playing FIFA10?"
Now... the point of this is that I care for this club and am as frustrated as all but FFS stop the negativity OK

Because you are bringing up issues about a member of this forum, why cant you contact them personally? Or me or COYS if you have any issues, we are here to help.

I'm not sure there is anything insulting in Webbo's post to be quite honest.
As he said, it is a forum for discussion, and he has asked a question - as did I in another thread (which is still not answered).
I presume from reading elsewhere that the Club is not folding, as why else would anyone want to purchase a season ticket for a defunct club?
Lastly, I will leave you all with a happy thought!
You were probably all supporting St Albans City before John Gibson arrived, and I suspect that you will all be supporting them after he has gone - possibly not soon enough for some.

I have supported the Saints since the mid 1970's - quite often from afar as I have lived over 165 miles from CP for over 20 years. That distance does not stop me from jumping into my van more Saturday mornings than I probably should do and travelling half way across the country to watch my beloved team. I do not personally know either Daedalus or Webbo, I've probably stood next to the pair of them on numerous occasions on the terraces without ever knowing it. But I do know something - we all have our own opinions on the situation at the club, we may not all agree on certain things but most people on here or the official website actual want what is best for the club and to perserve it's long term survival. I find this petty squabbling rather disturbing and in particular the idea of censoring certain individuals even more alarming. We had enough of that with the official website's forum! From where I stand Webbo has done stirling work for the club for a number of years both with the website and more recently with running the club house - this has to be applauded by all of us - and Daedalus, this forum has been a breath of fresh air in my humble opinion - keep up the good work! I just hope that you guys can put your differences to one side and work together in helping keep our club afloat! Peace!  |

Wise words, bovysaint. We clearly have some tough times ahead to get through but it will be made considerably easier if we can all start pulling together in the same direction.
