From Gary Lockerby on the letters page of today's Herts Advertiser -
Questions on City
SIR - Still no news from Mr Gibson and St Albans City. So I shall try through this letters page for a hope of an answer to a few of many questions...
Why has the club's telephone line been cut-off?
What's the story behind the missing 100 Club money?
Has Steve Castle had his meeting with you regarding the budget for next season, which he was promised almost three weeks ago? And how many job offers has Steve Castle had?
What is the real reason that the reserve team is being moved to the South Midlands League? What is the nature of EuroAcademy's involvement with the football club?
Is Karen Gibson really on a £21k or £22k contract? Have the mystery investors lost interest in the club?
Just what is the situation with the unpaid tax bill, the transfer embargo and the rumoured 'winding-up' order threat?
What are you and your directors doing to save the club, to pay the bills, and to plan for the future to make sure that the club continues to survive? Will the club be in the Blue Square South next season?

Another good letter from Gary Lockerby.
Someone who obviously really cares about the Saints.

Saw Gary the other day (for those of you that haven't put 2+2 together he used to post on here as 'gaz') and he's still umming and arring about attending next season, which is a shame, when the hardcore give up the ghost you know we have a problem

That's really bad news EFMTFTV. Very sad to hear and a real shame. How many more will follow in his footsteps?

From recent conversations D, there could be quite a few who are feeling the same way. Feelings of heads contacting brick walls. Seems that never ever is there a feeling to go and support elsewhere, but that what is the point of backing the present regime. But perhaps even emptier terraces does not enter their curious motives of the club's owners. D S

Now I have no idea whether Mr Gibson is a complete charlatan or all round good bloke. I do not know him and am not privy to the internal workings of the St Albans City Football Club. I guess that therefore makes me well quallified to comment on this (or any) message board Anyhow I'm willing to make a prediction - St Albans City will be playing in the Conference South next year and I will be down the park to support the team. Hopefully the board (and the Trust) can get there act together off the pitch so the subject matter can be changed because I've a feeling that demanding answers (from this distance) is not going to make an iota of difference whilst creating a mood of gloom that does not exactly encourage spectators to return to the park. Please do not accuse me of not caring or hiding my head in the sand, I've followed Saints for over 40 years so I seen most of the ups and downs. Lets get behind the team eh!
