Touching-up the green green grass of home (click on the blue text to go to the SCT homepage to see the full story!) Saints City Trust has responded to its members' wishes to plant the green shoots of recovery at St Albans City FC. And there was no better place to start than its home turf of Clarence Park, which was relaid last week and for which The Trust has handed over a cheque for £3,525 to ATB Sports Solutions, who carried out the work. And with The Trust making further cash available for building works on dressing room facilities and the club organising working parties of fans to smarten it up, the ground will be in good shape for the start of the new season. In a message to Trust members, football club secretary Steve Eames said, "Thanks for all your help, I am not sure how we would have done it otherwise" Meanwhile, with fans' concerns about the club's off-the-field activities unallayed, The Trust is re-examining how it can best ensure that the recovery extends there too.

Sterling stuff by the Trust. Well done. Also good to see that the money is going direct to ATB and not disappearing into the mist.
