BROTHERS Luke and Jamie Thurlbourne have signed for King’s Lynn Town.
Midfielder Luke made his St Albans debut in February 2008 as a work experience player from Southend.
A number of impressive appearances resulted in Southend offering him a contract at the end of that season but he returned to St Albans for the start of the 2009-10 season.
In total he made 41 appearances for the Saints, scoring once, King’s Lynn Town’s website is reporting.
He was released in November 2009, manager Steve Castle citing a lack of fitness but adding that “a fit Luke Thurlbourne is one of the best midfielders in the league”.
Playing for Mildenhall Town last season he made 21 starts plus two appearances as substitute – scoring two goals.
Elder brother Jamie has played for a number of East Anglian clubs including Cambridge City, Wisbech Town, Haverhill, Mildenhall Town and Long Melford.
He too had a spell with St Albans, joining from Newmarket Town and making his debut in August 2009 and making three starts plus four substitute appearances.
Moving on to Mildenhall he made 36 appearances last season scoring seven goals.
