The club did attend a SBYS committee meeting last week to discuss concerns about ticket prices. The difficulty with reducing prices for this Saturday is that gate receipts are split three ways - and the other two parties are unlikely to agree a reduction at this stage of the competition. However the club did seem open to admission offers for some upcoming fixture or fixtures. I understand they will be statements made on this in the near future.
Update: The club did not say reduced pricing had been discussed with WSM but stated they believed it unlikely they would have agreed. However the supporters at the meeting also didn't feel strongly about reducing prices for this match - but very much wanted to see ticketing initiatives throughput the year

The FA - a 5% share I think I had thought that as well and referred to it in my reply from a couple of days ago that I posted in the wrong thread. Re-reading the rules, however, that doesn't seem to be the case. From the FA rules: 22. PROCEEDS OF MATCHES PRIOR TO THE SEMI-FINALS
(a) The net gate receipts due from a match (except replayed matches in consequence of a breach of the Rules) shall be the total ticket sales for the match less VAT, the travelling (and possibly accommodation) expenses of the Visiting Club, the fees and expenses of the Match Officials, and other match expenses allowed under the Competition Rules (which include costs relating to gate attendants, turnstile operators, stewards, police charges, floodlighting in accordance with the Competition Rules, contributions to the costs of First Aid Helpers and any costs relating to clearing the ground of snow and water provided the Visiting Club is consulted beforehand on the approximate costs). Any shortfalls in receipts are the responsibility of the home club and are not to be shared. The Professional Game Board shall have the power from time to time to issue instructions as to what shall and shall not be allowed as a match expense.
(b) Net gate receipts shall be divided as follows: (i) In matches prior to the Third Round of the Competition Proper (other than replayed matches in the Competition Proper), the net gate receipts of each match shall be divided equally between the competing Clubs. (ii) In replayed matches in the Competition Proper prior to the Third Round, 5% of the net gate receipts shall be remitted to The Association and the balance shall be divided equally between the competing Clubs. So while there are deductible expenses for the match official and the away team, the net receipts are split evenly between the two teams. The FA only get 5% of the replay receipts. From the 3rd round onwards the net receipts are split 45% to each team and 10% to The FA Pool, unless either of the teams are non-league in which case they get 50% of the net receipts. There are different splits for the semi-finals. www.thefa.com/thefacup/more/rules

I saw what you wrote in the other thread yellowalf. The reason why there £15 a ticket is that is our normal match day charge. When negotiating ticket prices for an fa cup tie what incentive do they WSM have to arrange a lower match day price? None! They will get x% of £12 or x% of £15. If I was WSM I know which one I would be agreeing to financially. They are in the same league to giving them more leverage.
