Bloody hell, and that's only our first visitors to experience out prices. Standby for a stormy season!

Talking about Coach Travel, what's the situation for us for away games ? Are we going to be able to run anything ? And at what prices l wonder ?

Wonder if the owners might subsidise coach travel as presumably increased operating costs and non-matchday income etc only apply to home games

And the owners still have not made a follow up statement after the backlash.

"The club has opened a dialogue with supporters on this matter and we would ask everyone to refrain from damaging this with unnecessary and often ill founded comments"
Which supporters have the club been in dialogue with?

One is away currently. But... discussions are ongoing. If discussions are ongoing why does it matter if one is away? What else is there discuss?

"because of the high cost of entry" - what a fantastic side swipe / kick in the nut bag.

Does anyone know what off pitch revenue Chippenham have? I know the ground is in a mini sporting complex but is this anything to do with the football club? Also, the bar is tiny and set back quite a way from the road, I can't imagine that this would generate a lot of revenue on non match days.

Also, the bar is tiny and set back quite a way from the road, I can't imagine that this would generate a lot of revenue on non match days. They have running costs of £7k per week and are another overachiever in terms of playing budget. They do have an academy programme (U18s/U19s) that generates income and they are adding function/training facilities to their ground to help generate much needed income. Their business rates are about 40% of our own and other costs will be generally be lower in Chippenham than St Albans.

So Chippenham own their own ground? As opposed to us who pay that famous peppercorn rent to the council?

They won't want to encourage you to go to away games that way your even less likely to fork out for the home games

Well l think a forum, which hopefully might be in the offing, where the owners meet the supporters, is needed to clear the air a bit. And whilst some people may not come to it as it probably won't make any difference to the admission prices, Questions can be raised and we can hear Lawrence and Johns side of it. But at least, being face to face, before the Season starts, this could be better than it rumbling along into the Season.

Well, that's why l said some people won't go, but l'd go, as l personally would be interested to hear what Lawrence and John have got to say. After all, l doubt that are going to say much to people after home games about why they have done what they have done.
