The Trust is seeking to elect 6 board members. Once elected the new board members will decide between themselves who will take up the positions of Chair and Vice-Chair.
Once Chair and Vice-Chair are chosen, the elected members of the board may choose to co-opt additional Trust members to fill specific roles. The board will also invite a member of the Trust to take the role of Secretary. The Secretary is not a board member and has no voting rights at board meetings.
Nomination forms must be sent to: Nominations, Saints City Trust, PO Box 1086, St. Albans, AL1 9RY and must be received no later than 30th September 2010. All participants in the 2010 election (candidate, nominators and voters) must by full members of the Saints City Trust as of 1st October 2010.
Each candidate will be asked to include a short manifesto (200-500 words suggested) outlining why they should be elected to the board of the Saints City Trust. Candidates will be asked where possible to email their manifesto to nominations@saintscitytrust.co.ukThis e-mail address is being protected from spambots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it . Manifestos will be published on the Saints City Trust website and will be made available to all members prior to the ballot.
The election will be by postal ballot. Postal ballot papers will be
distributed to all current Saints City Trust members from 9th October 2010. Completed ballot papers must be received by the returning officer no later than 30th October 2010.
An independent returning officer will be appointed by the current Saints City Trust board to count the votes and publish the results. The 6 candidates receiving the most votes will be elected. Ties will be decided by the drawing of lots.
The new board will be introduced at the Saints City Trust AGM on 10th November 2010.
