Good to hear he's got onto the bech now, but I feel his talent is being wasted....
Congrats to the lad anyway from me for obviously doing something right in training and he has a bright future.

I'm a big fan of Poku and glad to see he might actually get some playing time for the Hatters. Just think, those two (JJ & Godfrey) could be playing week in, week out for us instead of Luton Reserves. Good luck to them both though. Both seemed like genuine and good natured players as well as being talented.

Remained on the bench though, thats' twice he's been on the bench and both times he's been dragged up to the North East

I see Poku got some minutes in the first team as a sub for Luton yesterday. Think this must have been his first team debut for the Hatters, unless I missed it already?

He came on for the last 24 minutes and played really well, by all accounts. Does anyone know what is happening with J.J. ? Because we could certainly do with him at the moment.

I understand that he is still currently playing for their youth/reserves, I don't think he has got any where near their 1st team yet.

My workmate who supports Luton was raving about Poku last night and I popped onto the Luton message board and they seem to be saying the same, here is an example
very impressed with the lad....he made one interception and played a simple ball to a man in space the bloke infront of me turned around and said ..who does that remind you of and everybody sitting within earshot said the same thing ..claude makalaly.............look forward to getting a couple of seasons out of him, making a few quid and watching him in the premiership in a few seasons time
That sell on clause will come in handy ...... oh wait ..... we're going to make our money selling Sean Sheilds instead

Slightly over the top maybe?
But yes, listening to the game last night, the commentators were getting very excited about how he was playing. We have to remember though, that was the first match where he has played more than 10 minutes for them in the league.

Does seem a tad over the top but I do hope and believe he will go on to bigger and better things.
Great player for the Saints and goodness knows we could really do with someone like him in the middle again!
I'm looking forward to maybe getting a glimpse of him again on Saturday.

I think it's inevitable that we'll see him on Saturday, could well be a starter with changes expected to their team. Plus the factors that he might want to get a goal against his previous club, and that he played for 30 minutes last night.

Poku & JJ both got playing time for Luton Town today in their 0-0 draw against Welling.
Poku started and apparently JJ had a chance to win the game late on. He came on as a sub in the second-half.
I think that is probably JJ's first start for Luton Town. Wish we could get him back on loan at Clarence Park.

Richard Money on Godfrey Poku: 'With Godfrey Poku and Alex Lacey, we think they are probably closer to our first team. Godfrey’s two games against Welling, for example, has been a crucial learning curve. I think his mentality in those games playing with younger players, he probably went into it trying to do a little too much. But we think he’s a very interesting cog in the wheel'.
So Poku maybe edging nearer to a first-team place?
Money has also suggested that a number of the club’s youngsters will be sent out on loan to help advance their development, including JJ O'Donnell. We should definitely try to get him to come back to Clarence Park, surely?

Definately but could probably only do it as long as Luton pay his wages

JJ O'Donnell 'Twitter Watch':
I'm sure I speak for the majority of Saints fans when I say that the feeling is mutual and we would love to have him back at Clarence Park for another loan spell.
Wonder if he was just visiting to watch a game today or whether something is actually being lined up and that's why he was at CP. Fingers crossed it's the latter. No images allowed -http://i811.photobucket.com/albums/zz40/Crouchaldinho_SACFC/crossfingers.gif

Great people, yes (well some) great manager (doubtful)
Be good to see JJ on the left and Hutton on the right, doubt it'll happen as it'll mean Fisher being dropped

Poku and JJ both played the full match in Luton Town's 4-0 FA Trophy win yesterday.
Poku got the MoM award. JJ, meanwhile, played fullback with license to get forward often and attack down the left flank. He also played very well.

Poku has started again tonight against York City.
Luton are 4-0 up at half time with York down to 10 men.

I understand that both Poku and JJ have been offered new deals at Luton Town.
I hope they both get some more playing time next season.
