Why is Jeffers not starting? The 'current' data obviously showed Jeffers hadn't scored all morning

Well, a point at home next week vs Farnborough does it, but there we are, we have to see this through next Saturday, simple as, it's in our own hands still

A game we should never have lost but only have ourselves to blame for doing so. Two very sloppy bits of play lead to both Dartford’s goals & some terrible finishing in the first half cost us dearly.
I thought we’d finally stopped the nonsense of not starting Jeffers. He had about 3 touches today & scored a wonderful overhead kick within about a minute of coming on. How can you decide a player with 26 league goals isn’t in your best 11 players? Footballs won by goals, not by ‘data’.
We dominated the first half after conceding early, hit the bar, and failed to hit the target on numerous occasions. You wonder with a striker on the field how different it might have been. Dartford regrouped second half and were the better side for large parts but we gave them an absolute gift of a free kick after dithering on the ball and losing possession to throw away at least a point.
A point needed next Saturday to guarantee our place in the playoffs. A shame as we really should have got that at least today..

Is the data supplied by our opponents who suggest we leave our best player on the bench? Jeffers should be the first name on the team sheet.

While a play-off place does look likely, sadly it probably won't be a home tie unless we beat Farnborough and a couple of other results go our way. A midweek evening match in front of a bumper crowd at The Park (sorry, Pizza Hut) would be great. An away trip to Worthing, Chelmsford or Braintree is less appealing. Nevertheless, making the play-offs at this level for the first time since the promotion season to the Conference would be a great achievement.

I feel sorry for Jeffers, l bet if you asked him, he'd say he didn't re-sign for the Club to be stuck on the bench all the time! IMO you don't leave your top scorer on the bench, this business of the data suggesting it, is a load of old crap!

Hi STA I come in peace
You guys dominated most the first half, played some brilliant football and honestly I said to my son how have they not scored 3/4? The second half worried me because we played Thursday and naturally that will catch up. My logic was whatever the first half outcome we’d definitely struggle in the second.
Our manager made a good tactical switch and we started to get good periods of the game and becoming a threat. I remember your keeper pulling off a fantastic save.
Regarding the free kick that lead to our second, if he hadn’t taken him out he’s through on goal. Maybe I need to check again but I was right there.
Good to see a half decent away support for a change at PP and possibly see you in a few weeks time?

I can’t add much more to what’s already been said but, while I don’t believe anyone is undroppable, I can’t help but feel that Jeffers should have started yesterday and must start next Saturday and (hopefully) in the play-offs. He may not be playing as well as last season and he doesn’t have Weiss’ work rate, but he scores goals!!!
Thanks for the comments dfc. Good luck in the play-offs.

Not starting Jeffers reminds me of when England had Kane taking corners, it is completely ludicrous.
