Jeffers on the bench again, hope I am proven wrong, but leaving a 30 goal a season striker on the bench doesn't make much sense.

Looks like it was a bore fest. Maybe having a proven striker start the game?

A bit of a frantic last 10 minutes. You have to wonder if we could have bagged all 3 points, had Jeffers been on from the start. Seriously, I don't get it

Seeing a 30 goal a season striker starting on the bench gives the opposition a psychological boost.

Well, whatever the ridiculous reasons are for starting Jeffers on the bench yet again, our top scorer from last season, a point is a point l suppose, and to be honest, for me, it doesn't change much at all. Because we've changed the sQuad so much from last season and lost the most of a fairly decent back four, before this season started, l didn't have us down as doing as well as last season. I know it's still early doors and Noble has done relatively well since he came in early last season, lifting the players after defeats and draws might be harder for him than what it might be for a more experienced manager, who has experienced more highs and lows than what Noble has. But we will never know what, beyond Nobles own personal expectations, what the expectations are of the Club and the Clubs owners. Are they all that bothered that Noble is starting Jeffers on the bench all the time, are they all that bothered about where we are in NLS ? They're probably just content with the way it is and will just carry on with concentrating with off the field sustainability and finances, but in my book, if you own a Football Club, you need to make sure that on the field it's good enough too, to bring bodies through the gates in the first place. COYS!

COYS! The club are happy to drift along in the NLS. Far easier selling burgers and beer, than assembling a team to get into the Conference National. Being drunk helps with the tippy tappy crab football with your best player languishing on the bench.

COYS! Well, they had better start getting bothered. If Jeffers had started at Welling today, we would have won the game, no question. Coming on with 12 mins to go plus added is totally ridiculous. We are now in 17th position, 4 points ahead of Slough and just 1 point above the drop zone. If we are not very careful, we are going to quickly slide into a relegation battle, even at this early stage of the season. Let's get this sorted out now and not when it's too late.

I’m not sure if it’s true to say that if Jeffers had started today we would have definitely won the game. We were second best for 80 minutes and the service to Weiss up front was at times almost non-existent, so I don’t think it would have made much difference who had started. However, I admit the only time we looked like scoring was right at the end when a free kick from Jeffers stung the keeper’s hands.
Personally I would rearrange the midfield, drop Georgian and play both Jeffers and Weiss. However, I doubt whether this will happen as Noble, just like Allinson before him, prefers to play with only one up front.
On a different note, I’m looking forward to attending my first ever women’s game tomorrow!

Noble is being faced with a poor run of results and he needs to sort it out, playing Jeffers from the start on Tuesday will help

Look what Bolton achieved in the 04/05 season. Limited resources, but with aggressive direct football they had a great season. Lets hope things change, at the moment we are heading for a dogfight at the wrong end of the table.
