I was there yesterday, and was fully aware of the fact Michael Johnson played brilliantly. Shame about the rest of the team. As for the highlights that's a joke we did naff all!

The trouble is, as it stands cos of injuries, Noble hasn't got a big enough sQuad to freshen things up, rotate, that sort of thing, after poor performances.
Things are probably not that bad (at least not yet) that Noble's got to make any drastic, or otherwise, changes, but the loan market might be an option if he does.
We did well with the loan market last season

Why is that an opportunity missed? Increased revenue from prize money and money from the TV companies to spend on the squad maybe but I’ve yet to see any benefit from our televised exploits in the cup a few years ago.

An opportunity to:
- Get to the first round and face a league team - with possible television exposure too
- Create memories for the supporters similar to Bristol City, Stockport, Mansfield, Carlisle, Forest Green etc
- Additional revenue for the club to potentially invest in the squad

Apart from re-signing a player on a supposed high wage to sit on the bench most matches. I am guessing that if we had beaten Billericay our ball number would have been different. Not sure how these things work but our path to the 1st round may have been different. |
