It must be said, fair play to David Noble.
It was a risky strategy dropping Shaun Jeffers, it didn’t work and he’s gone back on his call and is now starting the best striker in the league.
It took some balls to drop him - but also some balls to slot him back in.

I do not agree with this. Jeffers wasn’t dropped for a few games, it was almost a year. Which, you could argue, has cost us several points.

Noble realised he was close to getting sacked.
Jeffers should have never been dropped.
We should build our team around Jeffers and avoid the tippy tappy football.

Utter stupidity rather than balls to drop him in my eyes. To drop a player that can win games out of nothing, as shown today, for so long was utter nonsense. He even bought in Akanbi thinking for a short period he was a better option. It was only really desperation that lead to him finally being picked. I could slightly understand some games last season when we had some very good pacy, attacking options in Cooper, McConnell, Zane & Mitch, but not this season.

I don't think Noble is, or was, worried about getting the sack, the only way there'd ever be a parting of the ways l think, is if Noble upped sticks and left of his own accord if he gets disenchanted with the job. As I've said many times, the owners went for the cheap and easy option in hiring Noble, after Allinson left, and they haven't got much experience in hiring and firing. Noble himself wants to see what he can do, and get as much Manager experience as he can. He hasn't done too badly, the Jeffers situation apart, but l wonder if his hand has been forced a bit regarding the non-playing of Jeffers, its been all too suspicious from where l am standing as to why your top scorer gets left out. No, Nobles not done too badly, given his inexperience and whatever playing budget he's been given. The rest is down to those players who are in the team, who cross that white line, who should be doing their jobs properly and taking their instructions fully on board. Great win vs Dartford today by the sounds of it. Okay, they are not having the best of times at the mo, but I'd take 3 points away at Dartford all day long, it's always, at least on paper, one of the harder teams to beat
