Thanks middxsaint.
Any idea what age the seniors ticket starts from?
Is it 65 or 60, or something bizarre?

Any defeat against a promotion rival is dissapointing, we've got to hang in there Braintree at home on Friday is a real 6 pointer now

Worthing v Bath City tomorrow. If Worthing win we would be 4 points below the side in 6th place (Maidstone Utd). If Bath City win, we go down to 8th and out of the play-offs.
Boreham Wood are now in the relegation zone and could drop down to our division.

I don't think this was ever going to be easy for us, Aveley are a decent side, but apart from this, Jon's had to take over from Noble and he'll need the rest of the season to make his mark on the team. He's done ok so far, but realistically, whatever happens between now and the end of the season, he'll have an idea of what his squad and first 11 will be for next season, or at least he should do. But he needs the support of the owners

Although we have done well recently, we probably aren't quite good enough for the play offs.

Although we have done well recently, we probably aren't quite good enough for the play offs. That's my thinking, there is another level that we probably need to step up to, to get into the Play offs

Great idea then we could do a bishops stortford, and on boxing day we could play blyth Spartans, as it's only up the road from us. Why the hell we would play it that division?

That's obvious, but unfortunately most of the budget will go on travelling costs, and recruiting players will be very difficult because of the distances to away games, economic disaster! So finish bottom like stortford.

I would go so far as to say being put in the north division could financially ruin the club.

I would go so far as to say being put in the north division could financially ruin the club. I agree, it'd be very difficult for us. I think the only answer for any geographical anomolies like this, would be for the Leagues committee to create a new National League Midlands division, which should re-regionalize it a bit more "locally", but l doubt that it'd ever happen, cos l think it'd need a massive rehash elsewhere in the Leagues structure to accommodate it

I've often wondered what our owners thoughts are "deep down" on getting promoted, should it happen ? I'm sure that as we've been flirting with the play offs for Quite a while now, they would've looked at thr pros and cons of it all. They may well be looking at making us more sustainable as a Club first, which is fair enough, and they are doing their best there, arguably, hence all the food and drinks outlets around the ground, and attendances are good.

Two defeats in a row is not good enough, but I guess it simplifies things - I reckon we now have to win five of the last six games to ensure a place in the play-offs.
Regarding the owner’s ambitions, of course they want the Club to be sustainable, but I do believe they want promotion. The increase in the segregated away end with additional seats hasn’t been done with National League South in mind. Plus, the more success we have the higher the attendances will be and the income received, which will make them happy.
It’s difficult to know how the attendances might be affected next season if we don’t reach the play-offs. Logic suggests a drop next season, at least at the start, but our attendances are so bonkers these days that that might not happen.

You can't fool people for to long, so they will work out that the club is happy will its present situation, without promotion. But consider that apart from yeovil, whoever goes up will be straight back down again, chelmsford, bath, braintree, Hampton, Worthing, no chance. Maidstone they have a marginal probability, as their cup run would help.
