Who said stortford chose to play in the north division? Nobody, read the previous texts. They had no option, it's the second time it's happened to them. Its ridiculous. We won't be moved to the north division.

Great idea then we could do a bishops stortford, and on boxing day we could play blyth Spartans, as it's only up the road from us. Why the hell we would play it that division? You? - let’s just hope we aren’t one of the 24 most northern teams of the 48 across both divisions next season, it was very close in the summer

Needham market if they win there league would be in the north division, just like lowestoft were, and look what happened to to them.

As said above - let’s just hope we aren’t in the 24, because if we are we have no choice. And we’d most likely play Oxford on Boxing Day - why would we play Blyth? Silly suggestion.

It was meant as a tongue in cheek remark, not to be taken seriously.

Football is just a sport, in the realms of the state of this country is in. Probably not that important.

Each club *does* have a choice. You can decline promotion.

Decline would be sensible.

Each club *does* have a choice. You can decline promotion. It wouldn’t be promotion? It would be a sideways move? And if ‘decline’ was an option, why didn’t Stortford decline?

Presumably the league T&Cs stipulate that clubs must comply with whatever division they are assigned. So the only option would be demotion.
