A decent evening's entertainment considering the conditions. A good crowd too, I reckon between 250-300 with at least half from St. Albans.
The final is on Tues 9th April v Berkhamsted at Hitchin. A strange choice of venue, not too far for us but quite a distance for Berko. However, it's one of the better grounds in the County so I don't really mind.

Would it not make more sense to just toss a coin and have at the home ground of whoever wins? Not really sure what Berkhamstead fans get out of being In Hitchin rather than St Albans?

I agree, bob666. I’d be quite happy to go to Berkhamsted and Potters Bar for the two finals if we lost the toss. It would hopefully increase the attendance and give a little more atmosphere. However, that’s not the way Herts FA see it, they always prefer neutral venues.
Mind you, in 2019 we played Boring Wood in the Senior Cup Final at their ground so maybe there’s room for negotiation.

Nothing wrong with playing it at hitchin, much better than playing it at berkhamstead not much of a ground. As for potters bar that will probably over to the beginning of next season.

Meant to say carried over to next season.

Meant to say carried over to next season. That’s a distinct possibility of course, but there’s always Tues 7th or Wed 8th May. Even if we reached the Play-Off Final on Sun 5th it wouldn’t matter especially as we’ve been playing a pick and mix side in both County Cups so far.
