Listening on Radio Verulam you would think we had just won the world cup! The Craft Beer and Chicken Wings World Cup

Partington is no different from when noble played, slowing up the game. He is probably past his best.

Yes his final 2 seasons he slowed up but he could take on 3 or 4 players and take us forward . Anyway on Partington I do agree he’s slow but his leadership and organisation is on a different level

Well, from reading all the comments, it sounds like it was a hard working 3 Points won and a lot of positives to be taken out of the game. But, erring on the side of caution, we certainly do have to be taking this forward into following games and picking up more points, cos the hard facts are that it's only 1 win in 11 games and we're still in a poor league position. But I'm glad we've got that "no league wins so far" monkey off our backs, COYS !!

This is probably one of my least controversial takes on here. Noble literally dominated the middle of the park against FGR in the FA cup at a time when his legs were gone. He was class personified...

Not sure what’s wrong here. Made a key pass. Won 3/4 aerial battles. Also what the data doesn’t show is how many times he got the ball forward that game. Crazy historical revisionism going on here

In the last few weeks I haven’t been defending him and I have made my criticisms. Just can’t believe people are slating him as a player. I personally think you should talk to anyone whose played with him or anyones whose played under him…

Noble didn't 'dominate the middle of the park' against Forest Green, and he isn't doing very well as a football manager in the last 12 months.
Great that we beat the beavers, on to the next one

I think Noble has read some of the comments on this forum about standing down or being sacked by the owners, judging by some of his replies late on in, in the post match interview, but it's why, even if we had got beat by Hampton yesterday, he is determined to stay and see it out l reckon. He was a decent player for us l thought, in his playing days, steady and relatively reassured, nothing flashy.

Yes key to us staying up will be how determined Noble is and how passionate he is and how the players currently playing for him say they support him and opposition managers say how good he is
Also more wins

He must have an absolutely fantastic plan on paper that will end with promotion this season because he should’ve been sacked weeks ago and one lucky win vs Hampton changes nothing. He was also a steady player for us in the 4 season he played, occasionally showed he had some quality with a nice pass / switch of play but nothing to write home about. He only really had 3/4 solid seasons playing for us before his legs were done.

He only really had 3/4 solid seasons playing for us before his legs were done. The thing is, l think, with us, this season at least, he'll have a job on his hands to emulate the Play Off season team we had, l just can't see us doing it. Of course, we can stay up if we get some decent results going consistently and perhaps break into the top half, you truly never know what can happen But l hope I'm proved wrong, of course and we do, some how, shoot up the table. But Noble wanting to stay and see the job through is going to be based on what he achieved in the Play Off season, barring of course, the Play Off Final itself, when we went to pot. I'd imagine it's also in his mind that last season he knows that his ambitious move to Wealdstone failed him and that, for now, this (NLS level) is his level until he has got more experience and confidence behind him, so he'll want to tough it out here at St Albans for the foreseeable

The suggestion that that the fans haven't been behind the club this year is a strange thing to focus on after our first win of the season. As far as I'm concerned the support has been incredible home and away all year, especially considering the results. Fans have travelled all over the south, spending a fortune in the process. Fans and players feed off energy, if the players aren't performing then naturally there isn't as much chanting, however they have got to give us something to feel energised about. It works both ways

Totally underserved support but brilliant from the fans. Forget Nobby's team talks or post match interviews which bore most of us to tears. If you can't get up for those fans and support, or as a player getting up for any game of football, you shouldn't be in the game!! I don't agree with everything Roy Keane says but having crossed the white line myself for over 25 years I agree with his attitude on the pitch. Sadly lacking in today's game. (Professional game I mean)
