Saints fans back racing cert! St Albans City fans are being encouraged to take to the turf before and after their home league game with Dover Athletic on Saturday, 27th March. Hot on the heels of a sponsored walk around the city boundary that morning in aid of its nominated charities, Saints City Trust is hoping that the team will win hands down to set up a fine evening’s entertainment for fans. The Trust is holding a Race Night at the clubhouse in Clarence Park and whether you are an experienced race-goer champing at the bit or if you are starting from scratch and don’t know your nag from your nap, it promises to be a lot of fun. The starting gates open at 7:45pm and there will be at least 8 races on the card; entrance is free and the proceeds with be split between The Trust and the football club.

Be careful as the licence of the clubhouse stipulates that it is only available to members (you become a member for the day when you buy a ticket to enter the ground on match days). Therefore you cannot advertise events by sticking up posters.

Presumably you could make up some posters advertising the match primarily with details of the event (e.g. race night) also on the poster?
Perhaps in future, someone could make up some posters just for the specific match with details of the event occurring after the game on it too (e.g. Saints v Dover with 'Race Night' in the clubhouse afterwards!)

Can a nominal fee be payed for the hire of the clubhouse to stage an event and then posters be put up for said event for example ?
