Inspired by the quiz shows thread, what are your favourite comedy shows?
I'm a big fan of British comedy. My particular favourites would be Red Dwarf, Jeeves and Wooster and Blackadder.
I used to watch Red Dwarf as a kid and it was my favourite. I think it went downhill dramatically after the sixth series. What did people make of the recent comeback? I thought it was okay but nothing special.
Jeeves and Wooster was always a favourite with me. Hugh Laurie is just excellent in it. And Blackadder is obviously a classic.
Great scene in Red Dwarf:

Classic Jeeves scene:
Hugh Lawrie such a great comic actor. Him and Fry make a great double act in this show.

To name a few:
Scrubs. Everybody hates Chris. Family guy. Mock the week. (Kinda comedy, kinda gameshow!)
Many others aswell.

I was trying to find a good clip of Blackadder but can't seem to find anything much.

Saw Frankie Boyle at the 50 capacity 'Hen and Chickens' a couple of weeks ago doing a warm up gig, brilliant!
Not a great amount of good comedy on TV at the moment, Chris Morris needs to return with something

"The Young Ones" was funny when it came out but I watched a re-run recently and it didn't do it for me anymore - I must be getting old!
Shows that have stood the test of time are Blackadder, Red Dwarf and Only Fools & Horses.
Lee Evans always makes me laugh.

Sorry but Gavin and Stacey just isn't remotely funny. Just really annoying and twee.
