Fair play to the stortford fans if they go up to Blyth. Thank god it was not us.

BBC site has been updated :- I just hope that doesn't mean we will get shifted to the Ryman, in place of Purfrock

The financial state R&D are in, I suggest they may not be going into any league next season, with or without a ground.
Monday will be interesting.

I won't be happy if we get shifted into the Ryman, R&D should be made to start in the Zameretto regional divison

Rushden Saints, anyone? It's an awfully nice ground with top-drawer hospitality & conference facilities

does seem crazy that Bish. are now worse off.
Purfleet should be put in Con. north, still it is the FA dealing with this.

From the Stortford Club website
With most away games being 3-4 hours away from Stortford, costs must increase significantly. Although they are appealing to the FA, I can't see them changing their decision.

Farcical. If anyone in the Football Conference heirachy had one ounce of common sense, Stafford Rangers would be reprieved and remain in the Conference North, Bishop's Stortford would remain in the Conference South and Thurrock would go into the Ryman Premier. Regardless of the points per game rule, relegating Stafford Rangers to the NPL, putting Bishop's Stortford in the BSN and Thurrock in the BSS, the precedent for this was set at the end of the 2006 season.
In 2006, due to Canvey Island taking up a spot in the Ryman League, this left one spot for a reprieve in the North and South feeders. As Tamworth United (who stayed in the Conference Premier) would have been relegated to the Conference North, Leigh RMI were able to stay up, despite having a worse ppg record than Carshalton Athletic, who were in the same position in the Conference South. Carshalton Athletic appealed but lost and remained demoted to the Ryman League.
On this basis alone, I would think Bishop's Stortford have every chance of succeeding if they appeal and if that upsets Thurrock, then so be it - put them in the BSN instead, leave Bishop's Stortford in the BSS and put Stafford Rangers in the NPL.
You really do have to wonder about the abilities of the organisations in charge of football in this country.

Rushden's court case has been adjourned for 21 days.
It's anyone's guess where that leaves us now.
I really don't want to go into the Ryman. If we are promoted next season, then there is a good chance we could find ourselve in the North too.

I've heard the same so I think we'll be alright It's not the Southern Leagues problem that the Ryman is one short now, they can sort their own boat out and if Rusheden do want to join in the next few weeks I understand their is a space in one of their other divisions

.......If we are promoted next season, then there is a good chance we could find ourselve in the North too. It's possible but I don't think it's that likely, Aries. Looking at the make up of the Conference National for the coming season, it has a heavy northern bias, something like 16 to 8, with only 5 of those 8 further south than us. I realise 2 will be promoted out of the BSBN but it must be better than even money that more than that will be relegated into the BSBN. news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_conf/conference_table/default.stm

Clearly, the dividing line between North and South is wrong. It should be further North, in the South Midlands somewhere. I'm not sure how that could be adjusted without relegating teams from the South and promoting ones from the North. The problem probably is that there are three divisions feeding two. If it was four into two then there would be no boundary movements.
