Anyone else a bit concerned by the lack of publicity for the upcoming friendlies? There is only about 2 weeks until the first match vs Premier League QPR on the 18th July, and surely we should be making the most of having a EPL team down at CP by advertising it around the City. Or am I just being a bit silly and publicity for the game will be coming soon enough?

It seems that QPR are not advertising the game on their website either. Instead they are advertising a game against Tavistock on the same day. www.qpr.co.uk/page/Fixtures

It appears that their first team/any new signings will be heading to Tavistock, while their rest of the squad head to CP. (On the SACFC website it is listed as a QPR XI)

To be fair to the new owners and Ian Ridley, they have been left in a virtually impossible situation with the PSFs. These should have been sorted out and arranged 5 or 6 months ago. In the event, I think they have done really well to have arranged what they have arranged at such short notice and I think you can guarantee they will have the fixture posters in hand.

I'm not having a moan about the friendlies, as they are actually the best, IMO, we've had for quite a while, I was just wondering whather advertising for them should've started now. I think I'm just knick-picking a little bit.

Who cares about preseason friendlies. They are for the manager to look at players not for the fans. The match to advertise will be the first of the Southern League season!

The home ones are also to raise revenue to help kick start the season.
