R+D didn't meet the league's requirements or something so aren't in our division. I can't believe the league would allow a team to resurrect then join in the lower division. Surely, pub football is the way ahead for Diamonds.

This is true, delay seems to be because of Evesham ground sharing with a Conf North team

Apparently, they will be ground sharing with Worcester City until November, when the access roads to their new Cheltenham Road ground will be completed.

Hopefully, we will play them early enough so that we play at St Georges Lane.

So which fixtures are the first ones you'll be looking out for when they come out? Hitchin, Bedford, Hemel etc.?
Wonder who we will get for the traditional Christmas & New Year fixtures?

Looking at the away trips ...
There are a number of new grounds and all long trips: AFC Totton, Banbury United, Barwell, Brackley Town, Chippenham Town, Cirencester Town, Evesham United (if not at Worcester), Frome Town, Leamington, Redditch United, Stourbridge and Swindon Supermarine.
I've been to Bashley and Weymouth so probably won't bother.
Arlesey Town, Bedford Town, Cambridge City and Oxford City I'll give a miss.
I'll skip the Hemel Hempstead Town and Hitchin Town derbies; I've been to them loads of times! Chesham United is a good day out drinking and an interesting trip on the tube so is a must if it's on a Saturday.

Barwell & Stourbridge already pencilled in the diary!
Looks like we might play Evesham in Evesham, as we don't go there until March?

Not happy with Cambridge, Bedford and Oxford all being midweek
Hopefully we'll have amassed enough points so the final games won't be as important

The Xmas fixture will probably be Hemel: hardly inspiring! I think it may be a bit more inspiring for us Hemel fans as we've never managed to beat you in a league game, not in the old days of the Herts County League before 1910 and not in the Isthmian League in 1983/84. I doubt we'll encourage as many fans as the old days but 3000 watched you beat us in the 1929 Herts Senior Cup final, 1500 at both legs of the 1966 Senior Cup final and 1800 at the 1956 semi-final. Although you havent beat us since 1994 when you knocked us out of both the Herts Senior Cup and Herts Charity Cup in the same season (6-0 and 5-1 respectively) I suspect you fielded weakened teams for the last three games which we won 10-0, 6-1 & 3-0. Good luck in the Southern League, dont be too complacent when you see so many unfamiliar clubs on the fixture list as it's tougher than it looks. See you on Monday 29th August, it'll be the first time i've seen Hemel play at your place although i've seen your lot in action there quite a few times over the years - for the first time i'll be keeping an eye out for your results as rivals instead of just having a keen interest in the other local teams.

I must admit it'll be strange playing you on a level playing field, I've been to a few of them recent HCC/HSC games and they never felt like proper matches, I was also at the 10-0 one although I think I left afer 7 or 8
