Any ideas at this early stage who might be the key players for us in this coming season? Any favourites from the pre-season friendlies so far? And how about some predictions of who is going to shine for the Saints this season!
First of all, in goal, I think if we can sign Nick Jupp, he could be a key figure for us. I've heard good things about him and he has impressed in pre-season so far. I understand that what's holding up his signing is that he needs to switch his final year at Loughborough to Hertfordshire University. Fingers crossed that goes through.
In midfield, Sol Shields is a real favourite for me. I think if he gets his form back that he had prior to his injury, he could be one of the very best midfielders in the league. The other Shields, Sean that is, could end up being a good player for us too. Howell seems to rate him as having potential and I think if he gets a chance playing out on the wing, he could shine for the Saints this season.
Finally, Jerome Walker caught the eye against Gabala and I'm hopeful that he could be that goalscorer we've needed for such a long time.
I should also mention another player who I'm hoping will continue to progress this season in Rob Magwood. Hopefully he'll get a chance. I like him for the sheer amount of effort and hard work he puts in.
So, anyway, who do you think could be key for us, or a real fans' favourite, this season?

The spine as is always the case will be the key: Nick Jupp, Ryan Moran, Sol Shields, Danny Hart & Jerome Walker.

Im going for Jupp (if he signs) and Haworth to be key players this season. Even if Haworth doesn't start every game he would be a very useful player for the last 30 mins of a game and I certainly think his experience along with Ken Charley will help develop some of the younger strikers.
