At the End of the day people in this current climate are not gonna pay £10 to watch rubbish including me, dont mind paying it if they lose now and again as long as you see the effort on the pitch, and at the moment that is just not happening.

Maybe he should have more confidence in a settled side then the players will have more confidence that the manager rates them For those of you that like stats, here are the changes by the tinkerman this season (from Dave Tav) CIRENCESTER TOWN - Cambridge City 1 Barwell 3 HITCHIN TOWN 3 Banbury United 6 HEMEL HEMPSTEAD TOWN 6 Swindon Supermarine 3 REDDITCH UNITED 4 AFC TOTTON 2 BERKHAMSTED 5 Berkhamsted 3 Stourbridge 2 East Thurrock United 2 EAST THURROCK UNITED 3 The above stats at best indicate a 'scattergun approach' which surely cannot be helping. If the manager can't find or afford the players he would really like he should at least decide on his considered best eleven and give it a chance to gel as a coherent unit. Personally I'm giving the team until the end of October to show improvement and if things do not get better then I'm staying away until a run of wins is put together. Hopefully Owsey can sort things out but unless money is really tight I think the club, even allowing for the difficult follow on from last season, should be higher in the league. Say, just below the play off places.

There ought to be a fans forum with Howell present to try to answer all of the above concerns.

Yes it is too soon to panic. Relegation, new owners, new manager and a completely new playing staff are huge changes. Sure, we all want to be playing like Barcelona, however a few times over the last few seasons it looked like we wouldn't even have a club. It would be good to see a settled side, with a good degree of organisation. We need to be hard to beat first and not turn up when the pressure's off. The point about good/bad 45s in the same game is spot on. Consistency will bring confidence, which allows us to play good football & then hopefully get results!
