Would be nice to see some news on the player front. I see other clubs are already putting plans in place for next season.

Seems that way, ridiculous isn't it... apparently it was because Watford fans may turn up, Luton would batter Watford every day of the week so let them come

Moderators - I would like to object to a post by EFMTFTV in the subject Pre Season. He seems to be saying it is okay for Watford supporters to attend our friendly match withLuton Town as they would get "battered" by the Luton fans. This sort of nonsense has absolutely no place on any football forum, let alone ours. EFMTFTV has contributed many posts to this forum that are generally topical and of interest, but this is pure stupidity.

I agree that EFMTFTV is a valued poster on the forum. I hope in this case that his post was more of a throw away comment and I'm sure that he doesn't condone that kind of behaviour at football matches. It isn't the kind of comment that I personally would like to see on the forum, so perhaps we can all stay away from these kinds of topics in the future.
I think it's important for us as a community on this forum to make it clear that we all believe that the kind of behaviour EFM describes has no place in football. Also, it's not the sort of thing that I, as a fan, want to see associated with St. Albans City.
Back on topic, I have to say I'm delighted that the club have arranged friendly matches against these two local clubs. In general, the line-up for pre-season looks great!

Still no players confirmed?? The squad and management are still away on their pre-season breaks. It's still only the 5th of June remember.

It may only be 5th of June but i see Cambridge and Leamington have all been re-signing crucial players and Hemel have been signing lots of new players. Don't want to see us slowly getting out of the blocks again. All i can assume is the manager has already secured the services of players from last season which he intends to use this year but would be nice to know.

Can someone confirm the k.o. times for the evening fixtures, which are all shown as 7:30pm on the poster? The Luton game is shown as 7:45pm on the website and the Stevenage game as 7:45pm on Twitter. I haven't seen a k.o. time for the Watford XI game on either of these, though. Just seemed a bit odd, as our k.o. times for the evening fixtures are normally 7:45pm.

That's the pre season games sorted out then, now for the squad You can see how busy other clubs have been in setting up their squads here. nonleague.pitchero.com/leagues/the-evo-stik-league-southern-814/I'm a bit mythed as to why there has been no announcement regarding who's been retained from last season yet. Or are we getting our entire squad from the trials this weekend.

I see they have put a photo up of Steve Castle instead of Peter Castle in the Winchester City article!

I should imagine the Colney heath game will be trialists and reserves anyway, I think the doors are double bolted

Judging by my experiences at Grays Athletic in Essex a locked doors friendly in Colchester is a blessing in disguise. Me staying at home I think. Roll on league fixtures date, around the 16th I understand unless anyone can enlighten me?
