Did you not get a season ticket the season just finished then? I wouldn't expect you (or many people on here) to get a Sutton season ticket.
It'll cost gaz_SUFC £8.81 to watch Sutton, and £15 to watch SACFC - Sutton at Clarence Park. Plus his petrol costs. If he bothers coming.

I'm guessing you're not fussed about what anyone else has to pay other than yourself? If I'm wrong please expand!

You said it'll cost £12 to watch Sutton, same as us. I'm guessing that's based on you buying a Saints season ticket for this season coming up. Not comparing like with like though is it? It'll cost a Saints season ticket holder £12 for every home game and £12 at the Sutton away match - it'll cost a Sutton season ticket holder £8.81 for every home game and £15 at the Saints away match.

Boomer - I was suggesting Gaz_SUFC might not bother coming to Clarence Park for the Saints - Sutton game. I think the _SUFC part flew over people's heads a bit! I'm sure gaz is a very loyal follower of the Saints, and wasn't questioning it!

A letter published in last Thursday's Herts Advertiser on the Letters page -
Happy to pay more to support City
SIR – I appreciate the need for increases in ticket prices at St Albans City - I was involved in football administration for 20 years – I just hope that no players in the twilight of their careers looking for a last pay day are signed.
Myself and plenty more regulars thought that the likes of Barry Hayles is not what is required.
I would like to know where all those who “jumped on the bandwagon” at Chesham are on a Saturday afternoon during the season – if they showed up at most home games there would be no need for the increases. In conclusion I am quite happy to pay a bit more to cement our place in the Conference South.

This is obviously hypothetical but what will happen to the season ticket price if Salisbury are demoted further and the Conference South proceeds with 21 teams?
It would mean that the price per match cost would go up slightly. (To more than £12).

I'm sure that those who buy season tickets will be compensated in some way e.g. reduction/refund or free entry into cup game/s.

Maybe we could reduce Tom Norman's wages to fund some of the damage.
I would like to know what experience he has in the Commercial Field that warrants him being a Commercial Manager?

Cheshuntsaint, careful. No personal attacks please.
Maybe you could try asking him yourself? I'm sure he'd be more than happy to entertain an email from yourself!

Maybe we could reduce Tom Norman's wages to fund some of the damage. I would like to know what experience he has in the Commercial Field that warrants him being a Commercial Manager? Firstly why would Tom Norman's experience be relevant in any way, shape or form to the break-in? I presume you feel he is partly responsible for it or you wouldn't be suggesting that he should pay for a proportion of the damage. Secondly his experience is readily available online if you feel a need to quantify it.

Where did I say he was partly responsible - I said some of his wages could be spent on fixing some of the damage. I'm just a little confused that running a twitter and Facebook page and booking people into play golf qualifies him for a full time commercial role within the club....where those wages could be spent elsewhere...

Cheshuntsaint, I understand that there are a number of new sponsors already in place for next season, so he cant exactly be doing too badly?
Also, I heard that it was Tom who actually took the phone call from the police at 4am on Monday morning after the break in!

Fantastic news about the new sponsors, genuinely.
Perhaps that money can be used to reduce admission prices back to level appropriate for this level of football.

Booking people into play golf? I'm more than a little confused . Am I missing something here? Please explain, cheshuntsaint. I also heard that sponsorship for the forthcoming season is going really well at the moment. I further heard that Lenny Piper is not in the best of health at the present time, Townsend.

Don't you just love it on here when someone has to have a dig on here at someone who is actually doing something to promote the club. The fact that a Commercial Manager is a paid employee by the owners is neither here nor there. They are probably on commission and therefore not on a very high basic salary.

I'm not saying Tom hasn't put the work in or has the ability to be a good commercial manager but I'm sure the play off semi and final and subsequent promotion have helped in attracting new sponsors too !
