I've done one of those meaningless exercises that footbal fans are so fond of. The following are my predictions for the remaining fixtures. These assume some improvement in form: WSM (H) W H&Y (A) W or D Concorde (A) L or D Eastbourne(H) L or D Hemel(A) W or D Maidstone(H) L Maidenhead(A) L Havant(H) W Wealdstone(A) W or D Dartford(H) L The best case prediction would give City 42 points. The worse case prediction would give City 36 points. In either case we would be relegated as this would have put us in the bottom three over the last three seasons. Lets hope I have got it hopelessly wrong.

If we are going to finish in the bottom 3, we need to make sure it's 3rd from bottom. There is always the possibility of a team being saved from relegation via someone elses problems e.g. ground not up to grading, financial problems etc.
This may be clutching at straws but how many times have Weston-super-Mare been saved via the 'AGM Cup' at the end of the season ?

We need to get 10 points in the next 4 games IMO, wins vs our relegation rivals in WSM, Hayes and then 4 points from 2 teams with hopefully nothing to play for - Eastbourne and Concord, ideally 12 points but as a team that's only won 6 all season then that's probably a bit unrealistic
Then we see where we are, we won 6-0 last week and everyone else also won around us, so I think that saying we need to win xx games can't be predicted. Whitehawk in freefall could help us for 2 reasons, they may not win another game this season and if the money lot have pulled out then they'd be the most likely team to give the 3rd from bottom side a reprieve by pulling out

There's also the money issues surrounding Gosport (Despite their play-off position), and Torquay still look like an uneven ship up in the National.
However, 6 points maximum from the next two games at least, then begin to see where we are.

Correct about Gosport who are rumoured to be about to offload 3 more of their players this week

For those interested in these things, Football Web Pages have a predictor that is currently sending us down but if you check the scores you will see a big factor is this Saturday. We need to win and they predict a loss... www.footballwebpages.co.uk/natsouth/league/predicted

Also predicts that Whitehawk will finish on 50 points. Currently they are on 34 points and in freefall. Financial backers have pulled out and attendances are low. Players are leaving, both permanently and on loan, so I wouldn't be surprised if they don't gain any more points this season.
Also rumours that Truro may voluntarily drop down a league if they don't get promoted to Conference National this season. It's down to costs of keeping current ground to league standards and ground sharing costs at Torquay Utd, whilst new ground is completed.

Results going our way again tonight :-
Truro 3 Bath City 1 Weston-superMare 1 Maidstone Utd 2
Weston play Maidstone again away on Saturday.
Also Dartford's form seems to be falling away, as they lost 2-1 at Maidenhead.

If he gets them winning, he's still unlikely to get them out of the bottom 3 but could do us a favour by taking points from Weston - who they are to play twice - and keeping them behind us.

Weston, surprisingly, beat Ebssfleet 2-1, and move above us by two points.
However, Bath lost 3-1. A win tomorrow, and we will move level with the Romans, while also leapfrogging Weston, and potentially also going level with Havant depending on their result.
Another crucial must-win game tomorrow, which I'm sure the squad will be ready for.

Havant defeated Hayes tonight 1-0.
Some real mixed results, win tomorrow and we're only three points behind these two sides. However, of course, we know that it could be a very tough game.

Mon 28/03 fixtures at the bottom of the table :-
Bath City vs Weston-super-Mare Chelmsford City vs Maidstone Utd Eastbourne vs Havant & Waterlooville Gosport Borough vs Basingstoke Town Hayes & Yeading vs Maidenhead Utd Hemel vs Saints
Could do with a draw between Bath and Weston, which wouldn't help either side but may help us.

Bath beat Weston 2-1 Hayes & Yeading lost 5-2 at 'home' to Maidenhead. Chelmsford beat Maidstone 3-0.
Leaves us in 20th place, 3pts behind H&Y with a better goal difference and a game in hand

Even after we beat them 6-0 I thought that Whitehawk had too many winnable games in hand plus they had points on the board. When our Hemel game is rescheduled will be interesting as all our games are winnable but commitments may come into play with our squad. We could need a minimum of 3 wins or 8 points but may need as many as 10 to be safe. Rollercoaster end to season, again!!! Vital we stay in this league though.
