Tickets were £15 for terracing and £17 for the main stand for the Carlisle game from what I remember. Hopefully the club are sensible with the pricing for this one.

Would be madness to deter people from attending by pricing it badly. Forest Green’s away support is not great. I happened to go to Exeter v Forest Green in September and despite it being a relatively short trip for them, FGR hardly took anyone. Would be surprised if it was more than a couple of hundred.
There’s a chance to get 3,000 in the ground if priced realistically, but get it wrong and plenty of people (me included) will settle for the armchair experience.

I think it should be £2 less to sit in the stand than on the terraces. You can't see so much from the stand.

With the TV money and the expected 3000 + attendance, there should be no necessity to charge anything other than our standard league prices. It would make for great PR, apart from anything else.

It’s even more important for the Club to try to do something about the morons behind the goal. I hate the thought that the impression a TV audience will get of St. Albans is a couple of hundred brain-deads singing “w****r, w*****r, w*****r” over and over again.
I’ll be ringing the Club and I hope many others will too.

Sadly, l bet it'll still be segregation for the match with us having the York Road end again for the whole game, not being able to change ends

It would probably decrease the crowd capacity as well. I doubt FGR will bring 100 as it is 5.15pm on a Sunday and on telly.

Very sensible discussion about pricing on the latest Podful of Saints. Hopefully the club will take note. Have spoken to three people today who are interested in going (two of whom have never been to Clarence Park before). Decided to do a little test and asked them what they thought terrace tickets should be for the cup tie. Answers were £12, £15 and £15. When I said the usual entry is £16.50 they all said that would be fair enough but any more would deter them from coming with me.
Considering the club will get £50k for the match being broadcast, adding a couple of quid to the ticket price nets so little money in the grand scheme of things when weighed up against the likely PR own goal.

Ad a whole load more advertising, prize money and £100,000 extra will come in easy. Expenses will go up, police, stewards, safety measures - maybe £20,000. So £80,000 before ticket sales.

Really wouldn't surprise me if they tried to charge £18 standing and £20 for the main stand but I don't think they will as know it would make them look stupid and deter people away. They seem to of hopefully learnt from previous mistakes despite not admitting it.

I still don’t know how or why hundreds of young fans were attracted to the Casuals replay but if we guess that they were attracted by cheap (or free) tickets it would demonstrate that the owners (or one of them at least) do actually see the value of having a big crowd even if not everyone is paying top price.
So it would be somewhat illogical to flip away from that policy when what the club actually needs is to show a big, buzzing atmosphere on live TV.
In my experience of watching Premier League matches the teatime slot is a bit of a deterrent as it is. There are usually more empty seats for a 5.30pm game than a 3pm one at Watford, regardless of the opposition, because it is neither one thing nor the other, wiping out both afternoon and evening plans for people.
Anyway, it seems obvious to me what the club should do to maximise the opportunity. Let’s wait and see if they do it.

Maybe as the ground is no cash they could throw a bumper physical programme in with the ticket. Stories from when we played FGR in the trophy, previous cup exploits, profile our next games, updates from the club..FGR could write about what they are doing and COP26.
Could be a statement of intent as they will have a big captive audience - they could promote a local charity, with £1 of every ticket sold

Gate of 3000, 1500 programmes sold at £3 each? = £4500 Can we make sure the raffle prizes are decent - a box of celebrations and a copy of last weeks daily Mail won’t entice many!

I was more thinking if they charged £18 or £20 admission they might bung it in the cost as I don't expect them to charge less

As others have mentioned, FGR won't bring many fans, they're only about 26 miles from Swindon but don't even travel that far.
Maybe they're right about their TV form though - they were definitely 2nd best against Town on telly a couple of weeks ago despite being generally one of the best teams in league 2 at the moment

Here's a question... I bought an online ticket for the Corinthian Casuals replay. Does that mean I'm a FanZone member? And if so, can I buy more than one ticket so the friends who want to come with me can do so?

Not sure if this is an appropriate thread, but have we ever beaten a league side? I remember Walsall back in the 60s (lost in a replay), Torquay in 1980 (lost in a replay), Bristol City (thrashed 9-2) in the mid 90s and more recently Carlisle. Have I missed anything?

Rubbish attendance at the Park that day, guess it was a much smaller City
