I didn't say they had the worst but still worse than us like previous seasons, sorry again assistant coach what is here assisting with though ? and what are you saying all the teams that concede less than us have better instruction and tactical positioning knowledge then or are spending money on 1 to 1 coaching ?

What I have hear from concord fans Glen is quite the opposite and is an attacking coach.has Ian actually ever said he brought him into sort out the defence.

Knight is a player that Concord "developed" He had been playing at a lower level before, but had a successful enough season there, playing regularly. The really good CB they had was Billy Roast, ex-Colchester junior, now at Dartford. So, we can make comparisons today...... the new managers for Concord, Moore and Midson released lots of the old Concord squad in order to re-build.
We got da Costa, and I thought we might also be interested in Lewis Taaffe. Hemel signed Steve Cawley, whilst central midfielder Amos Nasha joined Chelmsford.
I don't think Glen Alzapiedi is a defensive coach in particular, and if he is then he can't be much use in that role since Concord conceded on average 58 goals per season with him as assistant manager/coach.

Clearly, despite losing Richard Sho-Silva for what looks like most of the rest of the Season, the Manager feels he's got enough in the way of defensive options in order to strengthen elsewhere

...... unless this is another "one in and one out" scenario and an already current player of ours is soon to be on his way out, whoever that may be?

And of course Hatboy is the better manager.... * sigh *
Jason Banton was brought in as with injuries to Gabriel and Merson we needed attacking cover and no doubt affordable on a 1-month loan from a club at the same level.
As ever, plenty of enjoyment watching the Saints from the terraces this season - Bath City game excepted - and doing better than I'd expected but Tuesday will be very tough as we face a very strong, physical Welling side that also have the excellent Nassim L'Ghoul who gave us plenty of problems at the Park when played for Whitehawk

Yeah fair enough there, regarding reasons for Banton being brought in, instead of another Central defender. I admit that when l first commented on that l didn't know the injury situation regarding other players as l stated in the Slough thread after listening to IA's post match interview. I think he is doing his best to get a team together at the moment with all that's going on and l just hope we don't get anyone else with knocks of indeed anybody getting any red or yellow cards as any suspensions will mess us up

I'm not sure Hatboy is a better manager (and I imagine he'll agree) but at the same time it looks like our defense needs more reinforcements than our attack at the moment considering we have conceded more goals than anyone in the league bar three Last season we needed defensive cover and instead got people like Pinney and Bradbury in

Well, Pinney did get the No 5 shirt and he was that big, he'd definately cause a block in the defence, lol !

I don't understand this signing at all. We urgently need better defenders, 2 at least and better leadership on the pitch. Our current defenders are not individually good enough for this level and I, and others, have been saying this over and over again. Even our manager refers to these deficiencies.
Maybe Snedker is on the way out, but surely you then bring in an experienced first choice keeper who can dominate the area and help organise the defence ?
Who are we bringing in to shore up the defence and when ? It is THE priority if our season is to have any purpose.

We've been saying the same thing for 2 and a half seasons.
It's not going to change.
Sign more attackers and hope we score more than them.

Could it be that James Russell is no longer available to provide cover? I have no knowledge of this, just seems like the logical reason.

Well if IA is true to his word in his last recent interview after the Truro postponement, that he has got to sit down with the owners regarding the size of the squad, regarding bolstering it, hope fully we'll hear some good news on that front soon with maybe one or two more new players coming in apart from Michael Clark recently. lt might mean a departure or two maybe.

Not sure budget is the problem..redherring/excuse?..look at some of the historic signings ...not necessarily what were needed in the position at that time..
