Well it seems from his post-match interview after the Northampton game on Saturday, he's got or is going to have, a few triallists. So much so, that he's going to have to scale them down to make up a Squad of 18, so unless things change in the meantime until the start of the Season and someone else becomes available that the Club can afford, that'll be about 6 triallists taken on. On that note, apart from David Moyo who was said to have turned out on Saturday and may have turned out this evening vs Stevenage, does anyone know any of the other triallists that have turned out for us so far. I couldn't make tonites game unfortunately either, so l don't know what happened tonite One of the best trialists today was a player called Percil the number 7. Small but had a very good dribble and passing ability.

And looking just now on Saints Website just a second ago, lan's comments on the Player/triallist situation, it looks promising, so you have to trust Ian's and the Clubs judgement of the selection of Players he makes up for the Season. It'll be what it'll be, come the start of the Season, the group Ian has put together, and we simply just have to go again with what we have. None of this worrying abt what other Clubs might possess, just get on with our own games, work hard, and with the Players listening to instructions, doing their jobs, just see where it takes us. That's really all we can ask for going into the Season, and build on that

no.7 probably Micky Parcell, ex-Enfield.
Any other "trialists" recognised ?.........why all the cloak and dagger stuff about who they are ? ( I suppose if they are any good Hemel might steal them !! )
I thought we were interested in the striker Ralston Gabriel ( ex-Enfield) maybe he has gone elsewhere.

Its strange that its nearly always the same in friendlies, a player who is a triallist is called just that, a triallist. Is it a data protection thing or something, and/or nothing really wants to be publicised about the triallists until they are taken on and then named in the Squad ?? I can't see it but l have no other idea as to why triallists are not named in friendlies

Some clubs do name them, I was looking at who Wealdstone might be trialling and they name the players, some don't name them.
I am not anxious about the team, certainly not yet, and think that both IA and Glen Alzapiedi are good coaches/managers but I am interested in who we are looking at.......

I believe no.7 was Roman Michael-Percil (who was at Braintree last season) and Ralston Gabriel was certainly another trialist - in both games

Well Ian and Glen have obviously seen something in Ralston, indeed as Ian is Quoted as saying about him on the Website, so we welcome him on-board

Davymac should be able to give us some insight on our latest recruit! Seems a bit of a punt, but we've had some success with lower league signings. He signed for Enfield at the beginning of last season, but only lasted a few weeks before heading back to Haringey where he scored a ton of goals. Could see a similar thing happening this season if he doesn't get off the mark quickly. Probably depends on how he fits into the team. Apparently he's played in midfield as well, so maybe he'll take Monlouis' place in the team, linking midfield and attack.

There is a video you can find, I am not good at uploading such things, of all his 32 goals from last season as Haringey were promoted, he looks a very good player indeed, scoring all types of goals as a striker and making a few too, but maybe he just happened to find his niche. Sometimes a player clicks at one club not another.

As followers of Boro we have seen Ralston absolutely terrorise teams with his pace and guile and reading of a game. A natural goalscorer/striker he canbe sublime or ridiculous.Although that was two levels below Boro were a good team in a strong division and played well against higher opposition on several occasions namely in a 2-1 loss to Orient and a defeat of Welling. The victory in playoffs was at the expense of a Canvey team bolstered by how can I say use of the rules. He was outsatanding. The step up may not be too great but although he scored 32 inall comps he could/should have had at least 50.. can be a bit more focussed on whingeing at officials than concentrating but is a livewire who plays with confidence and he should be a great pairing with Sam. All 3 Gabriel triplets playing at this level or above now..when we saw him at HB presentation evening there was no hint that he ws leaving although I am aware that IA watched him in playoff semi and final. He needs managing and hopefully he will get that here. Sorry to see him leave Haringey but glad he is with us and not with a rival...there is another HB player who when fit needs looking at

Left foot, right foot, headers !
No wonder Kylian Mbappe is being called the new Ralston Gabriel !
Anyone remember Hector Mackie, the Maradona of the Chilterns ?

The first signing that seems a truly positive one. No offence to the others, and I've not seen them play, but he looks like a potential asset

whoever was the short guy with frizzy hair do in the number 10 shirt for city last night against London Colney should be signed immediately !! Like a dog with a bone - never giving up - excellent tackles - flying down both wings. Scored a nice goal. Also there were 2 x number 17's on display. One was average the other was excellent - and got on the scoresheet. The big lump defender needs to be dispensed with asap. Their 2nd goal was a gift. Where was everybody. Only the City ultras attended.

It was a team of largely trialists so you couldn't really gather anything from it. As Supersonic says, number's 10 and 17 stood out, so hopefully they'll get another run out tomorrow.

Well we certainly should, at some point be at least discussing such things, if not indeed looking to see how its going in games

That's good that we've got David on board for this coming Season too. Experience in the Squad is vital to have amongst a young Squad. Any news on where Keiran Monlouie went btw ? Just curious that's all.

Just curious that's all. I believe Monlouis is off. IA mentioned in his interview after the Northampton game that KM was offered a new deal but rejected it as he believes he's good enough for a higher level. He obviously rates himself but in my opinion he offered very little to the team for most of the season.

The scary thing is, if we'd practised set piece defending last year - we'd have finished in the playoffs if not higher.

I admire Monlouis' self belief but I'm not sure I'd have picked him ahead of Sambou, Merson, RMW, Banton or Lucien as worthy of a higher level. Good luck to him though. IF IA wanted him back he's a right to feel disappointed I think.

Who are these trialists ?
Why are we not allowed to know who they are ?

I'd be very disappointed if IA takes him back now.

So would I. He was given a chance with us and seems to want to overreach himself. Certainly not ready for a higher level
