It’s an emergency grant, apparently . By my reckoning, the figures stated work out at a total of £3,359,000 per month so it will see us through until the end of the year. Chesterfield, Hartlepool, Notts County, Stockport, Torquay, Wrexham and Yeovil will receive £95,000 a month, with 16 other clubs receiving £84,000. 23 clubs in the National League.
7 x £95,000 = £665,000
16 x £84,000 = £1,344,000 Total = £2,009,000 Chester, Dulwich Hamlet, Hereford, Maidstone and York will receive £36,000 a month, with the majority of clubs receiving £30,000 a month. 22 clubs in National League North, 21 clubs in National League South.
5 x £36,000 = £180,000 38 x £30,000 = £1,140,000 Total = £1,320,000 Overall = £3,329,000
Yep, spot on. I had incorrectly allowed for 22 teams in the National League South, not 21.

An interesting point, strongly worded! Last season our average attendance was 625, and we'll be getting the same as Havant with an average of 1,398, over double ours.
Using last season's attendances and clubs (so 22, including Wealdstone), the combined average in the NLS was 18,803.
£30,000 for 20 clubs and £36,000 for two clubs per month comes to £672,000 per month.
£672,000 per month divided by 18,803 fans comes to £35.73 per fan per month. So why not multiply that by the average attendances?
That way:
Dulwich get £78,606 per month (based on an average attendance of 2,200) Maidstone get £63,456 per month (based on an average attendance of 1,776) Havant get £49,950 per month (based on an average attendance of 1,398) SACFC get £22,331 per month (based on an average attendance of 625) Hungerford get £11,933.82 per month (based on an average attendance of 334)

Because that's far too sensible ahad43 But you are right, this would have been a much fairer way of doing it The club that got the most people per head was Borehamwood, the culture sec contingency for the conspiracy theorists of you out there Also, this hasn't come from government, it's from the lottery and only runs up the end of the year

Following the press conference by Boris Johnson this evening, the EFL have issued a statement. "During this next phase it has been confirmed to the League by the Department for Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) that elite sport will be able to continue and EFL competitions will therefore remain as currently scheduled (in both England and Wales)." So as we come under 'elite sport' looks like games will continue during November. www.efl.com/news/2020/october/efl-statement-coronavirus-update

I can’t imagine that many of the FL clubs are gonna be happy going to these small clubs especially where there is no testing being done!
