Bakare has a strike rate of 0.56 goals per appearance. Latest Saints team news:- Ryan Watts will miss this league match due to his suspension. He'll be out for this match and a further match before he can return. - Owsy made the following Twitter post on Wednesday: 'Last night at Clarence Park a strong reserve team won 11-0. Unfortunately Rob Haworth breaks down & is replaced by Saku Bakare who scores 6'. So it appears that Rob Haworth will be out of contention for this weekend's game with an injury. THE FINAL WORD - written by Saint (Jake Ellacott)How did the Saints get on against Ashford Town? The Saints fell to a disappointing 3-1 home defeat against Ashford Town in the FA Trophy last weekend. It started brightly for City, as they dominated the first 20 minutes. Centre-back Ryan Moran scored the opening goal of the match with 17 minutes gone. However, the Saints soon lost their foot hold in the game and the visitors equalised just after the half hour mark through Jack Mullan. Ashford had several chances before half time, including having a goal disallowed for off-side. City managed to hold on and the two sides went in on even terms at half time. The second half was very much a continuation of Ashford's dominance, and it was no surprise to anyone at the game when the visitors deservedly grabbed the lead through Jack Mullan's second of the game. The final blow, which put the tie beyond the reach of the hosts, came when the hard working winger Shane Graham scored with a placed shot in the 72nd minute. What did David Howell have to say about it?The manager had this to say: 'At half time the writing was on the wall to be perfectly honest unless we raised our game and stepped it up. If we wanted to get something out of the game, we needed to come out of the traps better but we didn’t'. He stated that he understood the disappointment of the fans' after a defeat like that. When asked about the performances of the team, he said: 'The problem with us at the moment is we have two extremes. We either look to do well and don’t kick on or we turn from doing well to performing poorly and making bad decisions.' Their last game was a 4-2 defeat away at Worthing in a FA Trophy replay. The original tie was a 2-2 draw at Bashley Road. The Bash's last league outing resulted in a 1-0 defeat away at Leamington. Finally:So will the Saints come out on top at Bashley Road on Saturday? Or will the hosts grab all the points? Get involved in the pre - and post-match discussion in the thread below. What a disaster!
Why does this team seem to hit the self-destruct button from a leading position so often?

Definitely in need of some personnel changes I think, in terms of players. Some of the guys we've got clearly aren't good enough, especially at the back.

I still have faith in Howell to sort us out but I certainly agree with COYS that we need some personnel changes. Personally, I think we need some more big characters in the team and some leaders on the pitch.

How on earth can this team constantly go from being in winning positions at h/t to defeats, it's not good enough!
Remember back to the Lippiat days, we'd be struggling at h/t and he'd manage to always sort out the 2nd half via his half time tactics, I can't understand how this manager manages to let this happen time after time, plus another red card and judging by the line up another batch of personnel change.
At least we all agree that permanent personnel change that's needed

Three changes to the starting XI today EFMTFTV. Hart, Sean Shields and Walker out. Haisley, Ehui and Furlong in. Not sure if any were forced. I guess after last week's poor performance, maybe the manager thought changes were necessary though.
As for losing the leads, it's bizarre. I guess some psychological/confidence issue, maybe? Not enough belief in themselves to see out a result? Maybe some more leadership and some stronger characters needed to get the mentality right? I don't know.

Our home form is still respectable. Our away form is dire.
That, coupled with the fact that we can't hold onto a lead shows that there is something wrong with this group of players mentally/psychologically. They aren't strong enough characters, as you've said D.
I know the manager is partially responsible, but he can't be 100% liable for players being naturally weak-minded.

This was one of the most depressing Saints away days i've ever seen in 20 years of watching. We went in at half time 1-0 up after an Ok performance. In the second half we had Nethle sent off after two avoidable yellow cards - this following on from his woeful performance last Saturday. We conceded four of the softest goals imaginable and not one player in the second half came out with any credit whatsoever. Woeful against poor opposition. Difficult to know who to blame - no leadership on the field despite a change of captain. I there any leadseship off it? Certainly the performance was as bad as the rubbish of last season. I wonder what Mr Ridley made of it?
