Apparently Loris Marcimain is still with the club. He’s just joined Leverstock Green on loan.

Seems like lots of the club funds have gone into bankrolling the Clarence Park experience.
Do we now have bars on all 4 corners of the ground?
Maybe we should employ people to go round selling shots.

If it doesn't work on the pitch, all the bars are a waste of time. And crowds will drop.

Apparently Loris Marcimain is still with the club. He’s just joined Leverstock Green on loan. So, presumably, we have to call him back if MJ gets injured, if we can. Or else, will we have a loan keeper come in like we did with Dylan Berry ? He was actually Quite good, I'd love to see him back in the sticks for us

The owners will still be happy thou, if they get back over the counter, what they want to see coming over the counter. I'm of the conclusion, thou, that this could be it for us after a fairly good season, players seemingly wanting more than what the Club can afford to pay them, so moving on, and us having to re-build. If we do have a decent season with the sQuad we've got now, at the end of the season are we going to have players wanting more again, for the following season, not getting it and moving on ? I've lamented just as much as the next person, about our losses for this season just gone, and of course its happened before, this won't have been the first time, so l guess it is what it is!

And Dylan Berry joins Havant for a season long loan, which is a shame I heard we could have got him back if we wanted this season

I really liked having a local guy at the club. I don't imagine Dylan or MJ would settle for being a no.2 though. I assume that MJ came to some sort of agreement at the back end of last season as he didn't really play at all after returning from his injury. I imagine he will be up for the Havant home game!

Now the friendlies are all over I’m feeling a little more optimistic for the season, we’ve lost some good players but some of the new recruits have experience at this level, which is encouraging. If we get a couple of loanees in to bolster the squad I can see us in an upper-mid table position this season.

Dylan berry did ok for us, but Michael Johnson is a decent keeper who was just unlucky with an injury last season.

So, getting back to Wiltshere and Akinola then, we can only assume that Wiltshere is not listed in the sQuad cos he is not expected to play any time this Season, but what about Akinola, he isn't out for the whole season too, is he ?

Dylan berry did ok for us, but Michael Johnson is a decent keeper who was just unlucky with an injury last season. Dylan has had a shaky start for Havant, hasn't he ? But with us last season, arguably he played behind a much better defence, a good defence helps a Goalkeeper and his confidence. I think we saw that too in the Play Off Final vs Oxford City, we were a bit shaky in that, in front of Dylan

A bargain bucket replacement, so we can focus on beer and burger sales. Seems DN has a personal issue with Jeffers, no other reason to leave your best player on the bench.

He doesn't have a great playing record 10 games at tonbridge, 3 of those on the bench and one goal. Not done much anywhere else.

Only time will tell, if we can get the best out of this player and improve him, but l, like a lot of fans, will be wondering why we've signed a forward, when we look OK that department. A bit of honesty and clarity from the Club would be nice, but I'm not holding my breath!

I'm not surprised by another striker being signed. If Weiss or Jeffers were to be injured (or Jeffers leaves) we'd only have Morrall available as an alternative, who is as yet unproven at this level. I know Rasulo, Fage and Banton have goals in them but the more we have up front the better. Whether Akanbi is a good signing or not, time will tell.
As for the "beer and burger" comments, although I personally don't like Mad Squirrel ales or seeing bars in three corners of the ground, it's a fact that our crowds have almost doubled since Lockdown and that must be in part due to the "Clarence Park Experience" that some people on this site are so dismissive of.

I wouldn’t mind it if ‘The Clarence Park Experience’ and the revenue from increased crowds was being used to boost the playing squad - all I’m interested in. In reality, the club seems to have an ever-growing number of off the field employees while the quality of the playing squad is worse than recent years.

Why would increased match day revenue suddenly be invested directly into the playing squad, when the organisation haemorrhages money every year anyway. The ownership have been quite open about getting the club on sustainable footing, which requires investment in a lot of other places before we could afford a squad that would walk the league. I might be in the minority but long-term investment off the pitch whilst continuing to fund a competitive NLS playing squad isn’t a bad job by those in charge at all.

Get the fans so intoxicated they forget they are watching tippy tappy football with a 30 goal a season striker stuck on the bench.

Isn't the whole point of supporting a football club about how well your team is performing. Your average fan expects increased revenue to be reflected in a hopefully better squad. Not about the latest signing being a can of pale ale. I do however welcome the majority of the newer matchbday experience but it shouldn't be the main focal point of the club. The crowds will rapidly diminish if we're bottom of the table.

I think there’s a balancing act to be had between infrastructure and the playing budget. The increased crowds have happened for several reasons - the post-Lockdown bounce that a lot of clubs have enjoyed, the Forest Green result and the much-maligned “Clarence Park Experience”. I’m quite happy to plough some of the increased revenue back into the Stadium, but I would also expect the playing budget to be increased accordingly. The problem is I have no idea whether this is happening. If anyone has reliable information on this I would be glad to hear it.
While we all want promotion I don’t want a repeat of 2006. I think everyone was taken by surprise by that promotion and let’s be honest we weren’t ready to compete at that level. When we next go up I want to have a fighting chance of staying up.

Yes we need to be professional to compete in the Conference National. The additional revenue is welcome, but it doesn't feel like it has gone into the playing staff. This afternoon a player who terrorised Chelmsford last season will be on the bench, complete lunacy.
